Learned a lot from this awesome in depth interview.. This questions are coming from inside his soul and he adopted it.. Congrats Chris! and, doumo arigatou gozaimashita Sensie Daigo Umehara.
The editor for this video did a godlike job, matching precise game moments to Chris T's questions and getting to learn tips from the lord and savior himself is always a treat. Thanks for the great video!
I played on the main stage at RBBG last year. Even with the sound reducing headphones, you can feel the crowd roar when they cheer for you. It's a pretty awesome feeling. The nerves passed fairly quickly for me.
It won't be so long till some Daigo hater will put a dislike, but damn! That Zero Dislike... so much respect for Lord Daigo. edit: thanks for the spanish translation.
0.0 Holy crap. It took *most* of that video to realize who you were. You're Chris T! It's a good thing you made this channel to get out in front of your rep. *Rarely* have I seen that much humility from a Pro. It's even more rare that I see interview questions poised to one of our Champions that are *so relevant.* You, sir, have gained a fan. :) Two things to consider: One: I'm surprised Diago did not mention more about the Art of Detachment. Every fight is the *first* fight. One thing a great opponent will *always* use against you, Psychologically speaking, is the "weight" of the match. Deny that "weight." Let *them* carry it. Two: Read "the Tao of Jeet Kune Do." Why? I could tell you that for your mindset (Defensive/Moderate/Opening/Execution) there may be a better answer than Ken. Why listen to me though? It's best if you "hear" it from a true master. Diago is right though. Everything else seems on point. It's the attitude and emotional reaction to the game you love that might need evaluation. I sincerely hope that helps and apologize sincerely for pre-judging you based only on what I'd heard. Thanks muchly for the lesson about the things that *i* need to improve on! :)
When Daigo started using Guile last year, he used to do a lot of wake up flash kick n got punished for it. Then he just got better at it, did it less but wit more confirms.
i was in the hotel area at ceo 2017 and extremely drunk. i saw daigo and immediately started talking shit saying i'd body him, among other things. makes me cringe looking back on it.
im only a 1500 sf4 player. so i dont know. but wiff punishing isnt about reacting, its about reading the guess and having the inputs in motion. understanding whos turn it is, when the opponents wiff turn is happening and guess inputting at the correct delay. feeling when they will throw, and starting the push before the finish, because anything else is too late.
in my opinion, i think Theo Need make a statics during the games. how many punchs i did, jumps, kicks,. if the caracter os fast, slow, Strong, Bing, small. i repared the graphic Joint the caracter. they Need calculated more, mesured Their scores nas take the programs Likes Sap. Ir is possible to graduated nas garanted more qualifications to them!
many times daigos ume's dont work. he knows how to wait and wait and take his loss, which gives him a very small advantage to hit. it its very small. basically he is just reading the pressure and guessing. but its his character and patience that give him that option. guile - evil ryu - ryu - yun. perfect examples. choosing a different main skews the balance of these rules. of course FlashFire Ken would ask these.
Give urself a passing grade. Say no more. I will be the best that ever lived bet ur life on it. I will make it. No one out works me n i work 60 hours a week n have a family! Imagine how i can do it.
Funny but not true ! He said it is because Chris T must be too much result oriented. Basically, he says learn not to care of winning, just care about playing your game 😊
stop imagining that you are reacting and punishing. whats really happening is that you "felt a high probability" of a wiff, and you used inputs before the true reaction, so that they are happening at the same time basically, and your read worked. i doubt its because you saw a 15 frame move and ninja'd back.
That's the thing, that's only in SFV, in sf4 and most games. You can actually whiff punish on reaction, in this game, only certain moves can be whiff punished on reaction instead of most of them, if you swing preemptively on a guess that they will whiff then you run the risk of being crush countered because you are coming simultaneously and not after like a true whiff punish, this is what makes whiff punishment in this game hella impressive when it's done.
Frank You You had to guess both games. The only reason randomness (there is no such thing in fighting games btw if it works it works) works more often in SFV is because they have less defensive options. Sfiv had a bit more defensive options and bullshit option selects (crouch teck) which capcom never took out.
Whoever pick those game play clips did a good job. They were always very relevant to what was being said.
@Uni_Papapapaさんの翻訳引用Q1(00:41〜)長いセットだと相手の行動を読むことに自信がある。
Daigo Umehara is legend gamer!!
the guile he plays is the strongest in the world!
When the legend Daigo talks about streetfighter. You listen. Good vid.

So Micheal Jordan of fighting games
Chris T's real biggest problem is his haircut
11:45 🤔
14:14 🤣
This random guy sitting on the right pretending not to listen while drinking coffee.
LOL daigo said he only get nervous once a year and sometimes not even LOL, basically daigo is saying if you get nervous is because you suck lol
Dante Sparda thats not true lol he is saying that these who get nervous (chris) need to train their mentality
Funny but not true ! He said it is because Chris T must be too much result oriented. Basically, he says learn not to care of winning, just care about playing your game 😊
Be offensive all The time, there is no such thing as defensive
no. he smelt your dp. rule number 1 of fight club. when the fights coming down to the wire, its time to light or blow.
That's not rule number 1 of fight club, you fucking mouthbreather.
Andd... Uhh....you know... Uh...uhh... Uuhh... Our school system has failed.

Common sense really
Sounds USF4 is like chess and SFV is like some casual board game where randomness matters more. Never played USF4 but it seems a better game

Pianoing and the inevitable vortex were also major pains in my tuckus. :3
these questions are great but embarrassing. they just seem obvious, but im terrible, so surely im just wrong
