Hi, thanks for the video. Is this player connect to any can-bus decoder? I am asking because I would like to install a after-market player and not sure if it's a direct plug and play or need to connect to can-bus system.
did you ever try to swap this head unit into the base model (5-inch touch screen) head unit? since it has a little different harness, I'm curious if it's possible?
Would you happen to remember the color combo of the rear left and right speakers?
Great job! I'm actually doing the exact same thing to my wife's car right now. I put a simple setup in my sister's Sinatra, but here's is a 2015 and the amp and battery were in the trunk. Not the case with the 2017. I plan on running a 4 channel for the doors and a monoblock for the sub. Do you have a breakdown of the wiring from the head unit? I've looked online everywhere I can think of and got nowhere.
Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated!

what about if you have the base model of the 2017 sonata without the touch screen? can you remove it and put a touch screen in it instead?

If you aren't replacing the head unit and are just hooking up a line out converter then DO NOT DO THIS.... just tap into the speakers wires in the B pillar(column in middle of car separating front and back door)

Well, maybe this is a silly question, but, How do I update the maps in this stereo-gps navigator unit? I have a Sonata 2016 and I have no idea how to update the maps. I have watched some videos here and there and they talk about to remove the SD Card from the navigator unit, but I don't see any slot. I will appreciate your help, guys! Greetings from Mexico.

Why tap into it after all that work. May as well just upgrade with an android deck. Dunno if all the volume/up/down on steering would work but I could care less about the cluster in the steering wheel.
How did the subwoofer sound with the LOC?
