    Really happy to see Sweden joining NATO. We are stronger together.
    NATO is a defensive alliance and we won't let the Russians take the Baltic states or Finland or Poland again.

    Being in NATO will mean uncle sam will twist your arm and you will pay huge price being in an alliance that is hostile to another nuclear superpower. Whether you think Putin is going to attack or not is not the issue.

    • @Isinlor
      @Isinlor 3 місяці тому

      NATO is and was not hostile to Russia. Putin said himself that he thought about joining NATO. He said, that he asked Clinton about joining. Ukraine was not hostile to Russia.
      Russia is hostile to us. Russia occupied or controlled Poland for the past 200 year. They annihilated our state in 1795, then attacked us in 1919, and 1939.
      Last Russian soldiers left Poland in 1993!

    i would love to hear what the naysayers would have to say if 200,000 russian troops amassed at their border because they decided to go it alone.

    As a Norwegian, I'm happy the Swedes are in NATO now.
    It is more important to defend other democracies than to virtue signal that you are "neutral".

      Tell us who did free your occupied territory from nazis ? after WWII, you've been occupied by a country that never had fighted on your territory. Your royal didn't fight and waited the war would end...whereas Norvegian usual subjets were suffering of Occupation. Without oil, you would be nothing, Why would Russia attack you ? Russia owns huge Oil , Gas, Iron, Uranium , technologies you'll never get ! In 1945, who could stop Red Army ? It defeated fascist coalition in Europ (by far), defeated Japan in China and Corea ...Do you believe Norge or USA would b able to stop it ?
      USA use you as a servant.

    Sweden is a representative democracy, meaning our elected officials take the necessary decisions, including National security. There was a huge majority in the house for joining Nato, with only people on the fringe left and right (!) opposing. Any public poll would also tell you that at least 2 out of 3 Swedes are pro Nato and around 95% are in favour of continous support to the Ukraine. Willingness to resist Russian aggression is among the strongest in Europe, together with the other Nordic countries, the baltic states, Poland etc. Most Swedes are proud of Sweden taking a firm stance for once, with the exception of some far right Putin-fans and some left-over radical anti-US activists like the ones you managed to interview in this video

      the only result of this vassal move, is that your land can now be used by the uglies who rule NATO as battlefield, like they do in Ukraine.
      the western Ponzi scheme is crumbling, NATO is like a Titanic, and you choose to sink, joining it?
      good job made by media mainstream!

    • @ragulper
      @ragulper 3 місяці тому

      This is not true though. There was not a huge majority and there wasn't even a serious debate. Media refused to cover any of the problems of membership. And now we are forced into membership with a country enacting genocide.

    Sweden , Technologically superior country ( When we work in Industry we all hear about Swedish Technology VALVO, Electrolux, Alpha level , ABB -- so many ) .. what makes Sweden to outsource its countries defense to so called Consortium ?. Israel , such a small country can defend itself , why not Sweden ?. India a 3rd world country has powerful Defense forces .. Sweden should have self respect and start to have own Defense.. Please note Russia invasion of Ukraine was not unilateral by Russia -- It was coming for quite long time now .. There were sign of tensions for more than 10 years - Finally it happened on Feb 24th 2022 .. Ukraine was one upon a time part of USSR and they share common value system , Ukrainian and Russian have relationship .. Hence Russia will co opt Ukraine as their Brother sister - But for proxy war by Western forces to deplete their inventory of armories at the cost of people's life and you call this as PEACE KEEPING ?. Think - We love Sweden for their technology -- Stockholm and Gothenburg are very very famous Industrialized cities Globally .. People learn a lot from Sweden - Take pride being Swedish and develop your own Defense -- Please note NATO will use you to serve their vested interest

      I always find it really humorous how the Easterners refer to the Western regime as "Anglo". It's really weird, we don't refer to ourselves as this and haven't for a very very very long time. If you mean English-speaking then I suppose that also includes a bunch of nations who are not of British ethnic origin? Either way I've literally never heard anyone in my country call ourselves Anglos or Anglo-Saxons. Really just goes to show the outdated beliefs of the Easterners, particularly the Russians. I guess they're either educated that we're all the same, which means their education sucks, or that they are simply too stupid to discern between us.
      Anyway keep coping as we keep living our lives free from economic sanction burden and free travel between some of the most beautiful countries in the world as we continue to build a joint culture together.

      @@syklone_from what I read, I can see you consider all the inhabitants located east from England as Easterners.
      But Swedish verbs are whether like German ones, or like English ones.. Swedish people often speak English and get American channels . They don't like very much French people which is fun if we consider Bernadotte is their king. Many Roya in Europ are from German.origin , but we can see the European kingdoms are in North West from Europ, and dominated by USA. Then, there're a lot of American people whose origin are from German origin, even Swedish...

    • @syklone_
      @syklone_ 3 місяці тому

      @@jpr4747 Well I don't really consider people East of Britain to be Easterners. It's just that the Western Europeans don't typically refer to us (Americans, Canadians and Australians which is where I am from) as "Anglos", whilst its perfectly fine for them to call people from the United Kingdom Anglo-Saxons I don't really think that these nations despite coming from an English origin are typically referred to as "Anglo" regimes etc.
      The Russians just say it to be nasty and racist and to generalise a massive group of diverse national identities and cultures. Hence the slur "англосаксы" which is literally just anglosax(s) in latin script.

    • @jpr4747
      @jpr4747 3 місяці тому

      @@syklone_ But, from a scholar point of view, you are considered as Anglo-saxons countries. This is the term and this isn't pejorative. It's the term used in our schoolbooks : Anglo-saxons countries are precisely those you quoted. I had once a penpal from GB. But he wasn't English and comes from Wales. He considered himself as very different from Englishmen. He was very kind to French but russophobic. There's an interesting book by Maurice Cornforth about the English ideology ( title in French), Empirism and Logic. It describes how the English thinking comes from Bacon ( nihil fuit in intelligo qui non fuit in senso). And, from I remember of what was teached at school in philosophy, pragmatism is still a characterisation of for instance American or English - or even Briton - approach, our teacher mentionned psychology. This is quite different in France.. Amazingly the structure of thinking of elites and working class are very close in a given country, or culture.

      If they had taken Putin up on his offer then the world would be a far more peaceful and safer place. And I reckon Russia wouldnt of felt the need to build so many ballistic missile systems or AD systems that are now causing NATO so much agony!

    • @ewaldbracko7117
      @ewaldbracko7117 3 місяці тому

      That would've solved everything even before it even was about to happen.
      Putin proposed it in 2000. But the USA didn't like it.
      If you ask the involved diplomats and officials who warned against NATO expansion towards the east for decades then you would learn that NATOS expansion into the east - particularly the attempts to get Ukraine and Georgia to join NATO - was a red line to Russia's security interests.
      You can't simply ignore the security interests of another nuclear superpower and think you can act as you please. That will have consequences.
      And as it looks like NATO tremendously underestimated Russia's strength, both in military and economic aspects.
      We people in the West have now to pay the price for the arrogance of our governments. Because all the sanctions intended to contain Russia backfired tremendously. But instead of trying to find a peaceful solution NATO just doubles down.
      The reason behind it?
      The rest of the world also sees what was and is happening. And they actually agree more with Russia and not with the West. They see the West - especially NATO's eastward expansion and the overthrow of a democratically elected government in Ukraine in 2014 - as the main cause for this war.
      And the rest of the world amounts to over 80% of the world's population.
