Movement in the QB race at Nebraska?

Nebraska's quarterback picture is starting to come into focus after a Saturday scrimmage dominated by the offense. Freshman Dylan Raiola looks good, as we've seen on the program-produced video highlights, but coach Matt Rhule continues to keep his cards hidden in discussing the QB race. Rhule also makes a case for the importance of media coverage at Nebraska -- something that we've not heard much in years past. And Connor and Mitch review the weekend for Nebraska baseball on the field and men's basketball in the portal.

I was thinking the same thing months ago, that you media people have it made. He's the most receptive coach to talking about things then we've had in 25 plus years. So count your blessing boys, it doesn't get much better for you and your job to have all the content and accessibility!

I doubt Rhule will announce the starting quarterback until midway through Fall camp, but will be shocked if it’s not Raiola.
We’ll probably lose a game or two because of freshman quarterback mistakes, but Dylan’s ceiling is just too high to ignore.

I agree but I will take 7-9 wins and a few losses due to the QB being just a freshman. Raiola is without question the most polished QB of the group. Outside of OSU I don't see a game on the schedule they can not win.

Matt Rhule has a lot of qualities but the best one he has is the ‘with or without you’ energy that he exudes. People in all walks of life are attracted to that without knowing it.

@Mike-ye8qv how? He fumbled like 5 times without being touched basically unforced errors. Then got put in for one play and didn't take care of the ball. He threw terrible interceptions also. Basically unforced error also when u throw it right to the defense. Who's fault was it that he dropped shotgun snaps and terrible handoffs to running backs and hiking the ball to hit a guy in motion? Sims has potential sure but he is nowhere near nfl talent. I watches those games multiple times 99 percent of his mistakes was his fault bro.

@truthyahweh9877 I bet 20 years from now we will all look back at this with clear heads and see this was rhules biggest blunder. It's like asking what if Tommie Frazier played in the NFL. We will just never know
