I can share something valuable to this almost nobody knows anything about. My father was abcent as well, but not as much as with this guy. (If this is real btw all of this seems like acting and weird body language if you ask me). Something people don't realize is that if a boy grows up with his mother and the father is abcent, this can cause the boy to resent the mother. Because the father is not present enough, the mother becomes TOO present for a boy. This causes damage to his male identity that every boy is looking for and this guy misses strongly. I got cussed out the other day because a woman said “having no man gives her extra time to spend with her kids”. This was horrible. My heart hurts for him. There was true pain behind what he was trying to say. The host were horrible and so was his mother. The best description his mother could of gave of how he “used to be” was to describe how he handled responsibility she put in him as a child smh! They wouldn’t even let him speak and when he was able to get a word out they invalidated his feelings. How terrible! I would say I am a functioning alcoholic but I’d lie if I say I go a day without a drink. I’ve had my own life problems & I don’t find it as an excuse but I get my peace when I get a drink & listen to music & podcast. Smoking used to be my thing but I need to stay clean for my career so that led to drinking. I say all that to say that I understand when you’re depressed it may lead to you finding things to take your mind off of it. I actually lost a friend of 20 years, two years ago to suicide. & we are only 28. From the outside looking in, it looks like life is going great. I live in a wealthy city, make good money, I take the gym very seriously but it’s what’s inside my mind that makes me feel like no one will understand. What he is saying is that he is tired of pretending to be his mother's husband. This usually happens to the first born of a single mother. The mother is basically making the kid become an adult before he finishes being a kid. When you have that kind of pressure on you, it definitely puts you in a dark place. You are basically being asked to be the father (a parent) to your siblings, while no one is there is being a parent for you. It's like asking a kid to fly a plane thru a storm and they were never taught how to fly a plane. However the mother is working hard to afford a nicer plane to fly. Hopefully that makes sense. In this video, he is asking how to land the plane but all these women are judging him that his flying skills are shit. Meanwhile other kids that grow up in 2 parents house holds are still at the flight academy, learning how to fly before they become adults. He needs intervention, certainly not by their methods, simply because it is not suitable for his condition. He recognises he has a problem but he blames his mom for giving him the opportunity/ access to alcohol in the first place. Can you drinking from the age of 13yrs? His brains his developing into at teenage, hormones, (fake friends) responsible for younger siblings? If not,you will push him further away. I would say I am a functioning alcoholic but I’d lie if I say I go a day without a drink. Smoking used to be my thing but I need to stay clean for my career so that led to drinking.
I say all that to say that I understand when you’re depressed it may lead to you finding things to take your mind off of it. I actually lost a friend of 20 years, two years ago to suicide. & we are only 28. From the outside looking in, it looks like life is going great. I live in a wealthy city, make good money, I take the gym very seriously but it’s what’s inside my mind that makes me feel like no one will understand.

You are basically being asked to be the father (a parent) to your siblings, while no one is there is being a parent for you.
It's like asking a kid to fly a plane thru a storm and they were never taught how to fly a plane. However the mother is working hard to afford a nicer plane to fly. Hopefully that makes sense.

The judge doesn't understand depression!! He's a depressed alcoholic, he needs therapy not these ladies judging him. Look at the role he played from a young age? His mother drinks with him? What do you expect from him? This boy has a lot more going on, believe me, he just doesn't want to expose the entire truth. He mentions fake friends, this clearly means he cannot trust people and only God knows what the fake friends did to him. Ignorance is bliss!
Mo london no I think the last lady was right. He simply needs to recognize he is a alcoholic and take responsibility for his actions. Alcoholics just make excuses for there destructive behaviour . He probably simply developed a drinking habit which negatively effected his life and depression followed. Now he is just blaming others and his last experiences for his current problems. It’s better for him to take responsibility and work towards getting sober.
@@Wars7498I can understand where you are saying in regards to taking responsibility for ones action but when mental health is involved it is an entirely different ball game. He needs intervention, certainly not by their methods, simply because it is not suitable for his condition.
He recognises he has a problem but he blames his mom for giving him the opportunity/ access to alcohol in the first place. Can you drinking from the age of 13yrs? His brains his developing into at teenage, hormones, (fake friends) responsible for younger siblings? Not to mention his mom appears to be a heavy drinker but under control( just an opinion, I may be wrong)
I believe understanding and recognising his mental state, show empathy will be the road to his recovery. If not,you will push him further away. It may sound strange but depression and substance misuse is sensitive situation and in order to get a positive outcome, you have to jump into their world unfortunately to understand things from their point of view. Their way of thinking isn't always rational.

Problem is, other people don't fix another person's depression. Yes, you can make it worse, but only the person who gets depressed can figure a way out of it. It is a lack of drive. Each individual has to have a reason for their own self worth.
