Such a perfectionist, absolutely loving these bike builds, the Specialized was gorgeous and this Santa Cruz is also beautiful, watching these videos is so tranquil. 👏👏
Well I can tell you this that all guys growing up doing dismantling, cleaning & assembling practice on older bikes (like from 20 years back), these new ones are like cool toys in comparison with right tools and such a well equipped shop is not as hard as back on the old days when anyone improvised tools to build-up & straighten the rims for example an old man in my neighbourhood was doing on a turn-lathe part in order to get straight rims.. also today you have staple ball bearings on early bikes they have cones and many (well a certain number) of steel balls in different sizes for : pedals, wheels axes on fork so, when you service the bike that where the nightmare begin, got to be very careful not to lose or mismatch any steel balls putting them carefully each ball back in right place soaked in fresh grease and tie the nuts very carefully not too tight to allow balls to move but not too loose to get too much play that latter might ruin the cones parts or brake the balls inside. So today with all kind of tools and super precise parts like ceramic bearings available and with a skilled mechanic is super easy and fun.. probably the only annoying part is when you must do in hurry more than one bike and each to be different but all are super-urgent awaited by customers..
