As a bicyclist myself I highly respect this man's passion for the lifestyle here. Total zen man. No worries, no stress, nothing but a man and his shop building art pieces that folks can customize to make there own art pieces. It's brilliant.
I literally cried watching this, because it reminded me of all the times me and my friends used to work on our bikes, over at my friend's house, who's dad taught us about all of this stuff for years... He's been suffering from cancer for about the last 5 years or so, and it really just got me thinking man... Thank you for making this video.. Keep the passion alive...

I love almost anything and I have like 20 hobbies (guns, knives, cars, bikes, fountain pens, wood crafts, simracing, computers, science etc) so I know a bit of almost everything you could talk about.

@SpiderXD imo injected is better. it's more reliable, there's no "choke" pull lever and it doesn't matter how the environment is (really hot outside, really cold outside etc)

The build itself is stunning but, the way the video was shot just *chefs kiss*. Great work man, if i could be half as good as you are at building bikes then i'll be very happy! Loving the passion.

Your bike is truly what you make of it. You'll be able to afford a nicer bike someday. But for now cherish what you've got and take it to glory. This is an incredible sport and you'll find a way.

Building bikes everyday for a living like I do, while having to deal with the pace and stress of customer service at my shop. Seeing a bike built this way, so peacefully, efficiently and with love... makes me calm, love it.

As a retired A@P I watch this and think about the Wright Brothers love it, the tensiometer on the bike spokes reminds me of rigging cable tensions, the dial caliper reminded me of setting flight control limits, the shocks are your landing gear witch are a pane in the A two rebuild but I rebuilt a many G2/G3 landing gears but at 48 I love mountain biking more than air planes....

When I saw zip ties finally I could relate
I was mesmerized by the Hope components and got totally excited when I saw the Microspline freehub body, but totally forgot and realized that the hubs were I9's😅🤣. Liking them CB pedals😍. Only complaint, valves are not orange 😅. Lovely build as always, thanks😎👍!.
Hope ones available from January 1st i think.
I did wonder what those hubs were! Thought he had some Hope prototype Microspline on there.
I'm not into full suspension MTBs, but I have to say this is the most beautiful one I've ever seen!

I have noticed that when you film at Cycles in Motion your videos have a completely different mood than when done at other shops.
I guess it's quite unique, lots of workshops are super clean

Is it an uncommon practice in wheel building where prior to the final truing, you lay the wheel flat on a cardboard and stepping on the spokes on both drive and non-drive sides? It would embed the spoke ends into the hubs..
Such a sweet build. I think this is your best build yet and it's your personal bike! Well, I'm partial to orange/blue shades combo sometimes even in color grading photos/videos.. 😂
Embedding the spokes can knock your wheel out of true... I do it before I even get the spoke wrench out!
@@heisenberg1833, that's right. That's my usual practice on fresh hubs. That's after you lace all the spokes with the rim and hubs then did your initial tightening. I don't do it before. How could you embed it without tightening it first with a spoke wrench? If you wouldn't do that beforehand you'll gonna end up truing it over and over again until the spokes are fully embedded. I got that from Ali Clarkson and it works everytime!

The beginning is incredible because of the whole tire process. Like how do you know wires in the tire to overlap and whatnot. That’s just insane to me haha. Awesome video
spokes, not wires. there is a pattern that almost every wheel shares

My OCD is going crazy right now ... the front rotor was rubbing against the pads when he spun the front wheel after tightening down the caliper mounting bolts. All I can think about is loosening them up pushing the caliper and pads against the rotor from both sides making sure it has freedom of movement then holding down the front brake lever and retightening those caliper mounting bolts ...
