    Hi - this is the second video I’ve watched of yours, and I’m liking the content. I’ve been doing mostly books FBA for about 7 yrs, but my old sources have mostly closed or just dried up over the last couple of yrs. So I’ve been wanting to branch out to different products recently. I have sourced Ollie’s twice in the last year, but just books. You’ve given me some ideas though. Thanks!

    • @danflynn7342
      @danflynn7342  Рік тому

      I started with books. It was hard to make profit for me. The fees have really increased with books. I have picked up a couple winner books at Ollies. Mostly the big box sets.

      Hello, Welcome to the jungle :) Do you love sourcing? I do! I love finding the deals. I think it fulfills a primordial desire similar to a caveman hunting. I feel you need to love the sourcing part. If you are just doing it to make money... this may not be the best retirement fit. I know a couple people that have started an Amazon business only to shut it down a few months later. What did they have in common... they got into it for money. They did not love the hunt. Best of luck to you.

    • @agnesmasucol732
      @agnesmasucol732 Рік тому +2

      I love the hunt actually. I did private label and I did not love it because I cannot touch the item I am buying until I get the sample or the merchandise.

      At kohls the clothing is profitable. Women’s underwear, under armour, bras, mens underwear. I always find Adidas but only worth it when there is extra off of clearance.

    • @danflynn7342
      @danflynn7342  Рік тому

      @@maccastellon2768 I was a big Kohls shopper when I started. I would hit the toys section and clearance pretty hard. Then Kohl’s stopped allowing the use of 30% for name brand toys . For me, I average $500 in spend every time I go into a Ollie’s . I can be in and out in 2 hours. No other store comes close for me. If I’m sourcing, I’m at Ollie’s . Any other store is a loss in time … for me.

      Heat gun about 6 inches away for 6 seconds works about 95% of the time. Heat gun is the trick! Different surfaces require different amounts of time and distance but the 6/6 rule works for most items. Be careful not to burn the surface. Some people use a hair dryer, I prefer a heat gun. Good luck

    When you say hold on to it until others sell out. Do you mean not listing it?

    • @danflynn7342
      @danflynn7342  Рік тому +5

      That is correct. If I am selling MF, I'll list it at my target price and forget about it. If FBA, I box is up and check on it every month. I have items that have taken years to make a profit, but they eventually do.

    • @danflynn7342
      @danflynn7342  Рік тому +1

      MF or FBM is decided using number of sellers, rank and profit. I need the item to sell in 90 days. If I can not sell the item in 90 days for my set price, I will not send it in.

      Hello, Sorry for the delay in my response, did not see this message. I mainly use SellerAmp with that. SellerAmp will give you an estimate of how many units will sell in a month. I look at the number of sellers and their current inventory. I make my determination mainly form those variables.

    • @danflynn7342
      @danflynn7342  Рік тому

      Depends on the toy... About 50% of my sales now , are toys. I have a couple toys that I purchased over 18 months ago that are making over 300% profit. I go through my stored inventory once a month. If an item has few sellers and good profit, I'll send it in.

    • @danflynn7342
      @danflynn7342  Рік тому +1

      I purchase boxes from ULine. I use a 12 * 12 *4 box. I also bubble wrap the entire inside of the box. Make sure there is no movement inside. If the cans move, they could break open. I have sold many units and have not had any complaints nor have I had any damaged cans. Good Luck.
