Looking forward to trying this. When you mentioned Estee Lauder’s Private Collection I paused the video and pulled out my bottle for a decent spritz. It really IS like walking into Interflora. It’s sooo good and less than £50 for 50Ml. See also the incredible Silences by Jacomo. A bit rougher but GREEN as green can be and less than £30 online. Superb. No.19 is on my wants list too. A pity Chanel axed the 50ml bottles.
Loved your review, I totally agree the sillage and way it wears is the best part and I get whiffs of all kind of notes throughout the day, from green apple to blackcurrant, a whiff of jasmine, the earthy texture of patchouli.
Haven't spent a huge amount of time with the scent but I didn't get "jungle". I got photorealistic Kew Garden hot house, which as my girlfriend pointed out is kind of synthetic jungle... Didn't get the blackcurrant, didn't get the 1970s, obviously very green but, to me, felt more modern. Hints to me of Lys Mediterranee and French Lover: green, realistic, heavy sweaty floral. I was hugely intrigued but not perhaps enough to immediately splash for a large ml bottle. But then I absolutely adore Freddie Malle and occasionally wonder if that means I bring a set of expectations to their new releases which they have absolutely no chance of ever possibly living up to. Yes, I know what you mean about expectation. And I think that's true in terms of price as well. There are several cheap fragrances that we've commented 'If it came in a Frederic Malle bottle with a FM price tag we wouldn't question it'. Well, this does come with a FM bottle and price tag, which is why we ended up questioning it!
Not true, it smells very much like other Malle fragrances. I know I own a lot of Malle and I have decants of the rest. This one is very very familiar, Malle has done this before. I picked it up right away and so did Joe.
I picked up a 10ml after enjoying a 1.2ml sample and love it. It is a synthetic green floral masterpiece, with a perfectly fitting name. Excellent review as always! Cheers!
I enjoy both Hiram Green Arbole and Naomi Goodsir's Nuit de Bakelite in the same way.....within my. bubble ...not necessarily up close. Any similarities?
I tried this fragrance while its pleasant that price tag is not worth it, it smells like many cheaper green fragrances and classics of the past that are still can be bought , if this was under another brands label it would be label as boring and unimaginative.
Not much impressed by this scent! And sorry to say I don't think Ann filipo she's a Master perfumer! Natalie Lorson works are a lot better👍 I prefer French lover or vetyver extraordinnaire to this as among others.... Not a big release & even the name is cheapie to me! Great review cheerio🍸🍹

This smells like it could be a diptyque fragrance, imo.
It definitely fills a gap that was in the line, too, there's nothing else like it from malle

On paper this reminded me of an old discontinued Tom Ford I used to own - was it ombre de hyacinth/Vert de Fleur/jonquille de nuit ?! Hmmm
