Trying to put an image on sublimation vinyl it's not easy but you have to go a good eye I did 6 shirt Sunday and they came out good so you do a good job 👍👍
Thank you so much!!! Wish I found this video last week when my daughter wanted a special sublimation shirt for her boyfriend. Now she’s getting this style for Christmas. Thank you again!!!!
@@katrinasgracefulcreations3711 Good morning, Queen, I just watched your video again to refresh myself on this process because I have an order to do two dark cotton t-shirts, and a black blouse. I think your shirt results are practically perfect from where I sit. I’m glad that you were able to replace the sublimation HTV because it gave you the opportunity to weed out the letter “g” and her other arm. Like I said, I think your image turned out practically PERFECT!!! I love it!!! Does it feel really smooth? As always… thank you for sharing your technique for GETTING IT DONE! Have a lovely day! Donna 🌹🌹🌹
I couldn’t find the other video where you printed directly onto the vinyl. I was wondering if that was really possible with this particular brand because of the carrier sheet. You are supposed to press the image on the carrier sheet side. If you have a hack for it, I’d love to see it.
I did everything the same as you and my transfer to the vinyl was so light. I reprinted it 3x and it barely took in any ink. Image just looks washed-out. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. 😕
I’ve dye subbed since 2000, and I’ve always pressed the dyes at a higher temp. Dye sub inks have to be heated up high enough to turn to gas that permeates the polyester substrate. Then, when cooled, it returns to a solid state and has dyed it permanently. So, here’s some possible reasons: your dye sub inks are not high quality, the TEMP isn’t high enough to convert the dye to a gaseous state, the item wasn’t dye subbed for a long enough TIME to dye the substrate, the heat press PRESSURE wasn’t enough to force the gasses INTO the subtrate, or your SUBTRATE (the HTV in this case) isn’t formulated for dye sublimation (not enough polyester in it). Try increasing your temp to 390-395F to start and see if that helps. Then fiddle with the other items until you get an acceptable outcome.
Thank you for showing all the steps - and keeping the mistakes in! I grabbed some of this HTV just for fun, although I think their printable transfer paper would be better so you don’t have to do the whole sublimation alignment step. Buying DTF gangsheets is probably the best option overall for anything more than fun personal projects tho.
Great video! I tried this on 100% cotton and the image looked great, but then I tried it on a 50/50 and the black of the shirt came through 😩 so the white wasn’t as white
Girl you did better than me on my first attempt. You're right though, it's hard to lay your image perfectly onto the offset. Thank goodness you show us the DTF transfer from Ninja as that's where Imna have to go for complex designs like this.
Awesomeness I have tried this once I cut around my image it was challenging however I'm a tiny bit confused when you stated that you were going to print directly on it Did you mean print directly on the HGTV Did I understand it correctly sorry I'm still learning since February of this year Thanks for your expertise
Wonder if that vinyl has a short tack press setting like siser does? That way you dont over heat it and limit the shrink that is cause by pressing it to long just to tack it down.
For some reason, I was thinking I had to use my Silhouette to cut both the vinyl backing and the printed image on the paper, but i guess you don't. I could not figure out in my head for the life of me! Thanks for explaining it!
Katrina girl you did that, thank you so much for showing me how to do this I had been wondering how to do sublimation on dark shirts for so long but thanks to you I am ready!! Peace and blessings be multiplied to you and yours!! May the Lord forever bless your hands!!
Thank you. I have a question. Can I print a white and black skeleton on sublimation paper then use the htv for dark fabric. I was told that the white Skelton will not print

You are very welcome. I will be doing it again soon.
Very nice job on that shirt and I like the black Betty boop design. Great choice.💙💙💙🖤🖤🖤

Thanks for your BTS unfiltered correction of oversight correction steps.😊🎉📹

Thank you!!! Loved your video. I'm a subscriber now. XO
Amazing work 👏🏿 🙌🏾 🎉🎉
What do you mean printing directly on material? Directly to Tee or Sublimation htv? Thanks
Absolutely gorgeous!

LOOKS GREAT!! OMG!😍
Thank you!!
Hunny u did that!!@@ great job u really helped me ty

Good video thanks looks good ❤
Thank you too
This was great info!
Glad it was helpful!
Quick question do you know why my shirt would bleed through my design? And I using too much heat?
how many time we can use teflon sheet ?
I did everything the same as you and my transfer to the vinyl was so light. I reprinted it 3x and it barely took in any ink. Image just looks washed-out. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. 😕
I'm struggling with the same issue,I couldn't find any video on how to fix it.Have you figured it out?

Hey Katrina
hey!
I think there is a mistake or over. You have to mirror both images because it's htv. Permanent doesn't have to be mirrored..
where you create the design at?
good job
Nice❤
I see you repping Carolina! Where are you from or living?
First time on my channel? Lol. I’m from Ny. I even said it in the video.
How did you print that size in design space?
You can print larger now I have a video on how to do larger print then cut in cricut
GO EAGLES GO
😂 😂😂
Honestly..sooo grateful that you show the oops moments and taught us how to fix it. I learned a lot.
Thank you. Glad to help.

Yeah I prefer DTF as well. this is a learning platform so I try to show all methods for people who don’t have all equipment.
It came out GREAT 👍🏽
I've used it on a Light Pink Gildan crewneck sweater & mine came out really good..
Thank you

Transfers are the way to go
Which video is that?
Wife talking- yes if is. I thought it was me. 😂
Thank you so much for this video. It was most helpful. I will be reaching back out to attend one of your sessions. Your work is amazing
I have watched SOOOOO many videos about how to do this but yours made the pieces click together. THANK YOU❤❤❤❤
@@NEENEEx5 thank you I’m glad it did. I try to make it make sense and easy for everyone.
Was the vinyl matte or glossy? That you used
I would like to know if it was matt or glossy. I ordered glossy and I'm not liking how it look
Thank you for the great video! How do you get such good colors printing from design space? Thanks!
I don't know why you didn't mirror the HTV, when I don't mirror it, it's backwards?
That paper would have cut on the board with the machine, the scissors are unnecessary… just adjust the blade
Great tutorial. What size printer are you using? I always have trouble trying to do larger prints as Cricut stops it at 6.5 x 9 something.
So with Cricut I can print & cut bigger than 9.5 x 6.75? I’m new to this.
When I sub on vinyl, my print is very dull, am I doing something wrong, I pressed at the same heat and time I would press just sub on a poly shirt.
That looks like a great heat press.. what kind is it?
How did it do in the washing. Are the colors still there. Did if fade quickly?
Do you always have to do white under sublimation dk, ? Haven't started yet
What if you don't have a Cricut ? What would the process be then ?
Wow, that shirt came out really nice. I'm going to try to learn what you just showed❤
Go for it
How would you do this if you only habe 8.5x11?
Thank you? Never knew about the trick with the small iron
can you use the clear on a dark shirt. is military green considered dark?
Are you able to print directly onto the htv for dark colors? I never tried thank and would love to see that
Yes I do it.
Ughhhh yes it shrinks and that’s been my problem…
Can you do a video on how to resize a image in circuit design studio for a sublimation tumbler please .
Awesomeness I have tried this once I cut around my image it was challenging however I'm a tiny bit confused when you stated that you were going to print directly on it Did you mean print directly on the HGTV
Did I understand it correctly sorry I'm still learning since February of this year Thanks for your expertise
Yes I have other videos showing that method. Not sure if it would work with this but I’m going to try it
ok great i will look for it Thx you@@katrinasgracefulcreations3711
@@katrinasgracefulcreations3711 which videos?
Does this make the artwork area feel like a plastic bib?
How durable is the design? does it start peeling up after some washes like regular HTV?
Mines has held up perfectly since I made it
How do you know when to mirror the htv
❤❤ awesome job! Now I'm about to try it 😊😍
Wonder if that vinyl has a short tack press setting like siser does? That way you dont over heat it and limit the shrink that is cause by pressing it to long just to tack it down.
I will try it shorter time next time but I pressed it for 7 seconds
After a few washes, the image became dim and faded for me. How did it turn out for you after washing?
I had the same issue, I was so disappointed! I may try to spray it with either sub spray or rustoleum. Sounds crazy but might work.
i have a silhouette
Thank you 🙏🏽 I have a question 🙋♀️ how do you get a bigger image on Cricut design space ?? It’s only allowing me to print and cut a smaller image 😢
For some reason, I was thinking I had to use my Silhouette to cut both the vinyl backing and the printed image on the paper, but i guess you don't. I could not figure out in my head for the life of me! Thanks for explaining it!

Thanks for this video! Would you have any idea why my shirt would come out 'blotchy'? The colors weren't solid.
My printer won't print on the easisubli. I have an Epson 15000
I love your videos, you keep it real. Where did you get the image? I would love to make one with the Bucs and of course Giants ( nyc girl too).
Thank you. I have a question. Can I print a white and black skeleton on sublimation paper then use the htv for dark fabric. I was told that the white Skelton will not print
How did you do the large print and cut in cricut ?
I have a video showing it. You have to change your settings.

Hey Katrina TGIF. Here watching.
Awesome 👏
What temperature and time would I use for infusible ink transfer sheets?
Great job thank you🙏🏽❤️🥰
I will have to try printing directly on the easy subli. I have a long list of things I want to try.
Beautiful! What shelf are you using for the oven and the press?
Yeah waiting for that auto tumbler press
Ince I get home so will unbox it
I just tried this and it was a fail for me. I will try again since I watched you video.
It looks amazing but I can't never find the vinyl on the website

Is htv vinyl yhe same that you use with cricket or is it special vinyl?

I’m just wondering how it washes and dries 🤔
I’m so happy to know that we can do this on Design Space! Question, do you have a video explaining ICC files? Thank you and be well ❤
No lot yet because I never had a need to use it. My colors come out perfect without it
I love it!!!!
Can you use it on this on any dark colors
You go girl!!!
Yes, please do print and cut. Thanks
I used this and it bled. Alot of others in groups have also said it bled after washing. Even in cold water. Have you had success on washing this?
I didn’t do wash test yet. I haven’t wore the shirt yet but I will
