Delonda, I just purchased my irsst cricut vinyl cutter printer and heat press I have seen enough of your videos I feel confident now I can do this, Thank you for helping me on my new endevour! BLESSINGS! 👼
OMG Delonda, We are so alike.I never give up. When we do sublimation and try something new, you never know whats going to happen. Thats why I'm here. I know your trying it.
Oh I'm so mad I missed you. I wascooking. But I got my Bag today. I was so excited. I can't wait to make it. Thank you again so much, @Delonda You have been a blessing to me ❤🙏
I was working on my journal decoration so I am watching the replay which I will be doing a few times. Thanks for this I am trying this for my son’s business next. He likes dark shirts. You are so awesome Delonda it’s like you know what I need next.😊
Just like me, I was curious about this same thing when I saw Siser doing it last week. So I made a shirt. Well, a sleeve. I used a small pic of my baby bird and cut it out of the sub paper. Subbed onto the HtvRont vinyl. Cut. Then peeled. Kept wanting to curl up too. But, I now have my feather baby sitting on my shoulder, when I wear that shirt.
I’ve been watching some of your videos since I’ve started sublimation and I just want to say I love your attitude and positive vibes especially in your intro ❤
Thank you so much for your tutorials. I thought I was destined to make t-shirts only using polyester. Your explanations are straightforward for anyone to understand. Have a great day!!
Thank you, Delonda! I’ve been waiting for this tutorial. For some reason, hubby doesn’t like the glitter htv on his shirts 😜 I so enjoy watching your tutorials!
It came out AWESOME. I love it. I was scared with the peeling the image of the backing part. I hope we can order this soon here so i can test it out too. Thank you for the video😊
Thank you! My comment was the second one that you showed😁. I knew you would figure out how to do this and now I am intrigued to try it too! Thank you for all that you do for us💜
was so excited to try this method. I don't know if I did something wrong. My sub paper stuck to the vinyl and the image is on both sides of the vinyl. Ugh I guess I will try again.
Delonda! wonderful experiment. How is the Sublimation Vinyl sticking to the shirt after a few washes. Has this method affected the adherance staying power?
i am curious, once you do this does it feel thick and stiff. i tried it on black with a heat press 8-1 manual, i have since bought the auto press, just wonder if it makes a diffrence
Help me please 🙏 I’m new to your channel and I wish I had found it last year when I lost my joy in crafting but watching you set my flame 🔥 alight again, I watched your blue gnome video which I loved and how you use word is amazing fabulous do you use the same method with a personal photo ? Hi, Delonda, Hope you and family are doing well. I'm still trying to catch up on your videos Lol. I truly enjoy them, thank you for sharing your experience with us all. I usually don't try to send messages but I never had much issues with DTF using Welacer but I have ran into a bit of a problem. If 'm not mistaken I think you showed a video on this type of issue , when a DTF design comes out incomplete . I can't seem to locate it on your videos. Like I said I tried to locate it but no luck and no one speaks on this as well on videos. You think you can direct me to that video with that issue ? Hope you can give me some advice on this or maybe you know of someone who I can be directed to for a video on that. Even if you might not be able to share some light on this , thank you. Sincerely JT
I have used the sublimation HTV for dark fabric but did not remove the HTV from the backing sheet. I created my image and then duplicated the images as a basic cut and used circuit to cut the HTV. Pressed the HTV to my shirt and then lined up and sublimated my image to the HTV. I’m confused why the sublimation HTV was removed from the backing and then placed back on the backing.
As you know there are a lot of ways to do just about anything. The sublimation wasn’t removed and then replaced. Doing it this way alleviates the need for an offset or white outline around the image. I hope this helps.
Congratulations! You can do mor e with a Cricut Maker than you can with a Cricut Explore Air 2. On videos that are specifically for the Cricut Maker, I make sure to mention that.
Are you putting the vinyl back on the carrier sheet after sublimating the image just so it's easier to cut with Cricut? Otherwise I'm confused why put it back on just to take it off again. Also, is this process just so it's easier (aka, perfect!) alignment between vinyl & sublimation image? TY
Did anyone else have an issue with you image getting stuck to the paper? I tried twice and I was very careful and made sure that I had my HTV facing the correct direction before I pressed my image. The first time I had my image on butcher paper and it got stuck. The second time I put it on parchment paper and it got stuck as well. I tried so hard but that paper was not coming off my image in order for me to put the backing back on.
A few questions. I noticed your white rings to the right of your cricut,is that permanent?Did u move them just temporarily? Have u ever replaced the black rubber pieces on the sides? My white wheels leave marks on my vinyl projects. If im to move them i will🤯.
Hi there and thank you. Great questions... I moved the white rings for a different project and I just never moved them back, no reason at all - other than I just don't think about them. I haven't ever replaced the rubber pieces. I had to go and look at the rubber pieces after seeing your question. I had not noticed them before. It is normally necessary to move the white wheels when you are engraving acrylic or cutting wood.
I would be concerned about it stretching out of shape when removing the backing especially when having to do it 2x. Thank you now going to watch the wash update.
Maybe I haven't processed this operation enough, but I can't figure out why you separated the htv for dark fabrics from the backing. Last week I tacked the htv onto the shirt and then aligned my sublimation image to the htv and pressed them together. Am I missing something???
I love the fact that sublimation can be added to dark shirts! My one concern: when we print-then-cut we are cutting the image the EXACT way it comes off of the printer ( essentially, the same way it was showing on your computer screen when you went to print and cut it) . When you do the hack, since you are pressing it onto the HTV Ront material and then cutting it, it is now being cut flipped from the way it was printed. This wouldn't be so much of a problem since your image was essentially round, but what about other images? Have you tried it? I’m wondering if the Cricut would have trouble with the cut. Just wondering!
Great question. I tried this process with a pair of headphones and it worked very well. The reason why the printed image is flipped, is because it is going to be placed face down on the htvront for dark fabric. It can be confusing that's why I was trying to be clear as I went through the steps. I hope it was helpful.
OK so I have a question??? You're sublimating on top of vinyl to put onto a shirt, so why not just do printable HTV? The sublimation is not fused into the fabric in this situation. I have never done sublimation myself due to the limitations on what you can sublimate.

5:35 and 12:00 the guy demoing this at Siser placed on warm lower platen for few seconds to soften adhesive. This really helps separate from backing.

Hey Delonda, nice image and thanks for sharing. I do have one question did you use matte or glossy.
I really don't remember but since I prefer glossy, it was probably glossy.
You couldn't press the design on the shirt with the htv sheet still attached? you had to take it off?
I'm not sure if this hack is worth it tbh but still good to know.
I wonder if i can use transfer tape to press the vinyl on the sign?
Maybe if you use KTM mask or mask from Siser EasyColor DTV it may work.
Very pretty 😊😊😊

You can also use printable vinyl. There are multiple ways to do just about anything. Sublimation colors are usually more vibrant.
Can someone help me understand why you would want to sublimate onto HTV vs doing printable HTV?
The colors will last longer with sublimation vs. inkjet ink.
But mine faded when washed 😢
Oh no
