No, *not* anyone can do it. You need to be born "correctly" first. Vision is a huge one. Motion sickness is a no-no. BP (and flow) has to be perfect as well. Certain body types aren't ideal, either. Essentially, if you rolled excellent genetics at birth, you're good to go. If not, then don't bother, suckah. 💪😎✌️
Those are all good prerequisites to being a naval aviator from the first day you take an oath and graduate from Naval Academy or Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School as an Ensign. It requires a college degree "in something" and yes great uncorrected eyesight (initially). You get the best physical of your life before passing go and collecting $200. Same would apply to being a NASCAR Driver, crooked politician or possibly a deep sea gas diver with some sort of qualifying requirements. As a naval aviator with over 1250 arrested landings on aircraft carriers in all kinds of conditions, I can safely say all jet carrier aviators can do this if giving the opportunity and want to. There is much fun flying out in the fleet...just not that close to the ground or water since mostly fish are watching and clapping!
OH Yah! Lived on Whidbey for years. Love the jet noise!!
What a ride!
Good ol' Tacoma boy! Right on! ❤️🇺🇸💙
Love them. Proud of them. Don’t stop. Complainers will complain.
Is this at BIF
Are those battery powered?
