  • In this video, Josh takes us through a service for a Dyson DC14. We thoroughly examine the machine's, interior, exterior, and brush roll to get it back in pristine condition for our customer. This is a popular vacuum that has been discontinued but one we still see often, commonly for "loss of airflow". Josh discusses how this is more often a symptom of something else and common fixes for such.

Thanks, I had a DC14 brush that wouldn't spin, thanks to your video I realised that the metal bar must be jammed up. Removed the end caps and bar and cleaned up the bar. Put it back together with some fresh lubrication and it's all working again.
Thanks, saved me buying a new vac.

I have an old DC 14 that I thought was junk..I looked up your video, and I figured it needed a clutch, as it turned on, and there was suction from the wand but roller wouldn't spin .I got a new hose, clutch, and filters (they were BLACK inside, this vacuum has been in a home first, then my business for a while but even before that I hate to say I didn't take care of it! But I figured even if I spend some money and end up with a fixed vacuum for under 60.00 why not? Well I am not totally finished, I am waiting for the hose and filters, but I got the clutch in! And I am ready for the brush roller and belt and then putting it all back together...I don't know why but I love when you ca refurbish something yourself! I will update as soon as it's done, your instruction is fabulous and well explained! Thankyou!!! UPDATE: Just finished, all working like NEW, great instruction!! Thanks again!
