The problem is that all the black library writers have a raging hard on for space marines. & That's what GW wants, because they are by far the best selling faction in 40k & the go to army for beginners. GW is and always will be a company that wants to gain profit. Space marines, space marines space marines......sad but true.

The Venoms will have the splinter cannons inside and use bladestorm for 2 AP on their anti infantry crit wounds, probably the only unit bladestorm feels worth using on.
I love how all the competitive lists use the old shitty Swooping hawks, warp spider, and fire dragon models extensively. Ain't no way I'm building anything near these lists until they update the model range lol.
Just to let you know in that 1st build Yvraine goes around with the storm guardians. It's an anti-indirect tech; giving the squishy sticky objective holders a FNP and a heal. They can go around flipping objs without being destroyed by Guard, DG or other elf indirect.
Unfortunately my Aeldari army is on the back burner because I outright refuse to buy any of the older sculpts when they’re probably looking at getting new models in the next few years. It’s just bad luck that apparently they’re all the best units right now. 😂
Someone just posted an analysis of Eldar winrates on reddit that shows there is a sharp decline the higher you go in ELO rating. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this as it might mean that Eldar success since the last balance slate was based on a limited number of tricks of the kind that high skill players can easily counter once they know them.
Where's our lore win? Smurfs 1v1 our god of war, Nids use our infinity circuit as breakfast and crush our craftworlds (Malan'tai, Iyanden), Chaos destroy one of our main Craftworlds (Biel Tan), and so on.
Biel Tan wasn’t destroyed it was just broken into a massive fleet instead of one big ship making it probably one of the biggest and most powerful fleet in the galaxy and it was the Y’nnari that caused it to shatter to claim the crone sword
For anti-tank/heavy, I tend to run a pair of Scorpions. Granted it's 820 for both, so it's usually in a 2k+ game where I can take infantry and skimmers for objectives and screening
I love the scorpion. Two of them must be terrifying to face. Atm I'm running fire prisms instead cuz I only have 1 and I wanted some more flexibility in positioning
Given that the Fire Prism is more flexible and cheaper, I can totally understand and respect why. That being said, it definitely is terrifying to go against. You should've seen the look on my buddy's face when I melted his Chaos Knights from outside of their threat range 😂
Right!? Tbh, it's got the shooting profile of something that SHOULD be in the Tau codex. I'm pretty sure there's actually only 3 Tau units that can outgun it, with one of them being the Taunar (Edit) : forgot about the Manta, but you almost never see it because of the size and price tag
First list is so god damn strong if playin correctly. My team member played the singeles before the teamevent and had liam as last opponent and was the best marine player in this tournament and lost 0:20 !!!!!!
I just think of the Autarch as a tax for farming command points so you can do fire and fade in your shooting phase. I can't figure out why two of them would be useful.

Avatar of Khaine is a really good unit. Everyone forgets it has sustained D3 on its ranged attack. An auto 6 is horrible, especially in overwatch. I sit a farseer next to it in the midboard. It can get -1 to hit and wound with fortune and lightning fast. I'm actually surprised we didnt see one in this video
Don't forget, the Avatar may not have a fnp, or regen wounds, but it does have 1 more toughness, 2 more wounds, basically double the movement, a 2+ armour save, 1 automatic reroll for hit and wound (because detachment) and fate dice. The c-tan have nothing of these.
@@NaGa5hctan IS harder to kill mainly due to FnP+ and múltiples and IS way cheaper. The avatar indeed IS way easier to kill, particularly vulnerable to mortal and devastating wounds due to lacking FnP+ and IS more expensive than ctan. If we keep point cost of both the same i,d give the Avatar FnP

And yep, for nearly everything else the C'tan is harder to kill, but the avatar moves twice as many inches, and has fate dice and free rerolls. That's the big difference. And yes, C'tan are still undercosted, but the Avatar getting a fnp with with it's 10 inch move would straight up just be broken. Slow movement is the biggest weakness of C'tan after all.
Ugh... wish aeldari wasn't just take as many swooping hawks and warp spiders as you can or yvraine and take dark eldar... I want to actually play aeldari units but I guess if 1% of the datasheets are OP don't bother sorting the rest.

His shooting attack is extremely good as well if you stick a farseer near him and a massive overwatch threat, and he can get -1 to hit and wound from certain abilities. The +1 to charge is useful for a block of wraithblades nearby or himself, especially if you come out of reserves near a tank and use an auto 6 on the charge. Not saying He's the best unit in the index but he is extremely powerful if used correctly. He can honestly be the core of an army

I know they weren’t the bogeymen at the dawn of 9th when I got into the game. In fact, they weren’t “meta” until they got their 9th edition codex mid edition. And that was the edition everyone was a meta bogeyman shortly after their codex with the exception of Thousand Sons and Death Guard (and even then, DG kinda got a little but nothing like AdMech, Drukari, Eldar, or CSM)
I mean, of course Aeldari are going to start winning again. They were definitely nerfed, but then so were AdMech, T'au, Dark Angels, and all of the Space Marines, and _especially_ Chaos Space Marines. And now Orks and Custodes are next. But they aren't just worse in terms of balance. They're worse in terms of flavour. The game feels _exceptionally bland_ right now. What used to be a rich, hearty meal of meat, vegetables, and a deliciously light dessert, has been reduced to tinned hotdogs served cold in stale buns. Not even mouldy ones, because they'd at least _taste_ like something. So Aeldari aren't winning because they're _good._ They're winning because they're the _least worst_ army you can play. Of all the losers, they've lost the least. And the biggest losers are _us_ for having to put up with it for so long.
The fact that we have had female eldar units since the very start of the game should be a big clue that the current outrage has nothing to do with people wanting only men in their armies. The outrage is down to GW bending their own lore to satisfy the woke mob. 40K has a strong history of having some units/factions that are exclusive to one sex or the other, the woke mob don't like this, they think that any male only space (even a pretend one) needs to be broken up.

Personally I thought the SOB were quite a clever way to get round the no female space marine thing in a way that respected the lore of the setting.

I mean they do have separate rules. If you're not playing in a tournament, and just at home/LGS with friends you can use whatever rules you want.

Yeah it’s Yvraine’s fault. And honestly in doing so Shelaxi Helbane almost certainly corrupted the Yncarne. So the whole Ynnari movement is screwed.

I dont play aeldari and yes they win tourments but remember a new player can pick up this army and get tabled turn 2/3
The allied Drukhari don't benefit from re rolls do they ?
They have the Aeldari keyword, so they do get the detachment rerolls. They just don't get strands of fate
