He just got the kitchen bench. That gets him the tablets, which prevents pneumonia as well as cures it. Definitely need to research that. Also, mining is an excellent way to level up, and you need resources anyway.
@@GunsNerdsandSteel Yes, but without survivability, you will be handicapped with what you can do and how long you can stay out gathering. That's a lot of xp lost during the time you're waiting for pneumonia to go away. Also, don't forget that you get experience for everything you craft. You can get a lot of "useless" materials and have your benches constantly crafting things you don't need, like bandages with fiber, or making a bunch of walls and stuff. You can then turn around and destroy it all (losing half of the ingredients), then just restart the crafting process with that half. It's not the MOST efficient, but it's a way to get passive xp income while doing everything else you want to do for your recordings.
@gunsnerdsandsteel That supplemental respiration attachment you got gives you a 25% chance to avoid cave sickness in addition to a health buff in caves. Great thing to have once you have your alteration bench. I feel your tech point pain!!
Yeah, that cooking mission is a pain. We did it in multiplayer with 3 people and it took a while and required multiple trips to the drop-off pod, cause otherwise things would have gone bad by the time the other stuff was cooked.
They added a "freezer" backpack it acts as a deep freeze and i can't remember the name of the pack specifically but would highly recommend unlocking and using that when you get all of the requirements.
OH also, you don't want to have the water skin in the slot when you are in the cold places. You automatically lose heat every time you take a sip, and it affects your stamina.
Skinning gives xp as well. Animal feed gives about 5k xp over 10 seconds so fast way to level tames if you have the seeds and wheat. Electric feeder turns all meat and veggies to feed for super feed production. Fireplace has improved coziness and 25% xp boost while home building/ctafting.
Called an 'Archimedean screw' Surprised you're now 'burrowing' inward with the pick in caves - some connect nicely to other cave systems and even to other biomes?
I have been looking for Icarus content whether it's friends playing together or solo game play so I am so happy I found you and this series! Hope you make more Icarus content and that ofc the devs continue to bring new maps and content to allow you to make fun exciting content in the Icarus world!
Yeah I love Icarus, I've even been thinking about trying to set up an interview with the Devs lately. Not sure if they'd bite, but it would be cool to dicuss their inspirations for the game and what the future holds
Just a little tip - when in biome with no trees - just dig some dirt and make dirt ramps for cave access (build on edge of the cliff - won't always work - depending on drop height and walls position, but super easy to make). Also invest in Inaris "Neves" pickaxe - 50% reduction of encumberance penalty allows You to move pretty well even with massive loads.
Gotta say, building just the shotgun shell was hilarious. As for the glass, you're gonna need an awning to prevent all damage to it from storms, it's the best solution. Just a little roof overhang or something.
Reed flowers are common in the swamps. You should also start making antibiotics potions and health potions that also work on your tames so you can heal them fast. Just do a few downed drone missons or go on a killing spree for lvls.
GNS needs to unlock: the bone meal for more epoxy, and the herbalism bench for the antibiotic potion, and the health potion (both need unlocked). And the biofuel deep ore drill, then pop that on a copper node then gold node, for all the electronics that will be made soon. And get the medicine bench for the anti poison pill before you use a thumper. And keep doing the basic missions, the rewards can be worth it (I like to take the farm ones for plants I don't have seeds for), as they can give you stuff (tools) that you have not unlocked yet, and might not want to unlock but need. And try to do the beacon and repair outpost ones as you get to keep the beacons, and the stuff in chests and the walls. You should be able to craft the beacons but they are not cheep. Good for placing next to your ore drills until you remember exactly where they are (I lose mine). And get the repair bench after you get power up and running. You can repair workshop items with a powered repair bench. And with batteries now, you will not need to worry about power failure after you get that up and running, as the stations turn off automatically when not in use
When you get to fishing, I found traps rather than rod fishing better. I could dump a trap or two in the water, go off and do something else, then come back and grab what it'd caught.

Another excellent episode, and thanks for your content, it rocks! 👍 Icarus leveling is best done hunting predators, which usually give you the highest/quickest exp. If you leave the bodies, it'll draw in more predators. Crafting is super important, always be crafting something for that exp trickle, and you get half resources back when you destroy the crafted items 😉 Always carry ramps (and hammer to repair!) when doing caves, you never know what'll happen. You are going to really need those bio-fuel drills going full time on those copper/gold deposits. Tier 4 be real hungry for electronics 🥴 If you've the Ren, the first set of armor is super helpful for Prometheus, it has a bit of Temp protection.

I was on the pathway to brew coffee this entire episode lol
rip MOA!
Is there a Beast you could Tame that you could use to PROTECT your Mount?
That way, when your Mining, the other Beast could be relied upon to fight for your Mount?
You can purchase dogs from the station, maybe I should get one!
There is bait you can craft in the ranching station that would suggest so, however i never have any luck with it!
GNS, how do you do the Free-Look while your on your mount?
Left alt I think
@@GunsNerdsandSteel Your right i jumped in to check real quick. Thanks.
haha just learning that most birds are omnivores :'D
oops on the ammo boo boo
murders pets then finds better food lol
Too bad Icarus isn’t on console, I think I’d enjoy it.
Haven't you made any meds for the cave cough yet?
the semi automatic pistol has cheaper ammo.
I'm a shotgun guy
@@GunsNerdsandSteel Yeah nothing wrong with that. Just thought I throw that out there, also there is in the tier 1 line there is a water purifier object. Runs on charcoal but has to be placed in water. .
5:07 ... Looks left..🤔
Those are my decorative trees 😄
@@GunsNerdsandSteel Ah.. that makes sense.. 😄
why you dont use torch for bees ?
Well I could try, I typically carry a lantern now though
@@GunsNerdsandSteel cant use as weapon ?
Another excellent episode, and thanks for your content, it rocks! 👍
Icarus leveling is best done hunting predators, which usually give you the highest/quickest exp. Tier 4 be real hungry for electronics 🥴 If you've the Ren, the first set of armor is super helpful for Prometheus, it has a bit of Temp protection.
any full run on satisfactory? as a noob could be great content
Been considering it 🙂
👍👍
Your water container causes the -10 temperature, its the skin, if its wet it will lower the temp, try crafting a canteen or something to hold water
You were in a hurry with this one weren't you? Or distracted by something. You made SO many 'hurry up, I don't have TIME for this!' mistakes in this video.
Gotta slow down when you play this game, or you're gonna have a bad time.
Ah right, I forgot. I'm not allowed to make mistakes 😔
