These are science tricks , in science books questions be like : flight is flying at 60⁰ , it will reach airport at wt time , it's speed is 100 m/s, etc😂😂😂😂😂
Heat does not "create pressure causing the candles to rise"...heating air does increase its volume a bit, but this is different. Almost the opposite, really. What's happening here is that the candles are burning the oxygen in the vase, and creating a vacuum, not pressure. It's why the water is drawn in, and why the candles are all extinguished at the same time. Cheers
True, if it really were pressure related, an in increase in Temp = an increase in Pressure, and an area of high pressure evades into an area of low pressure.
If you notice the water rises when the candles go out. It is pressure, the hot air expands, when the candles go out the air cools and causes a vacuum which causes the water to rise. The candles do burn the oxygen but produce CO which replaces the O2.
@JimBuss. @Jeff Ringer is correct. The flame consumes O2 to produce CO2 - but combustion results in fewer CO2 molecules being produced than O2 molecules were present initially. The ideal gas law states that the volume is directly related to the number of molecules in the gas (given a constant pressure and temperature - which they essentially are in this experimental setup). So, as O2 is consumed and CO2 produced, the volume of the resultant gas is smaller, so the water rises to fill the difference. Your explanation, on the other hand, is incorrect. If hot air were to expand, it would cause the liquid and/or gas to exit the jar throughout the entire burning process - but that does not happen (some air does escape initially as the jar is placed over the candles, but as soon as the jar is fully seated, no more air leaves). Furthermore, the trapped air inside the jar cannot possibly cool off fast enough to suck water up the jar at the rate it does. Lastly, the candles cease to burn well after they start to rise.

Pereira Fiona she/he doesn’t mean what will happen to her/him in the future that is destiny she/he means how heavy something is which is density so in conclusion think before you speak and don’t correct someone if you don’t have the right correction to state😁
Madi K OK boomer... Also, density isn't weight, it's the amount of mass in a unit of volume. Weight is entirely dependent on gravity. For example, water will have the same density on earth vs Mars, but it's weight will change. So, maybe YOU should make sure you are right before you go correcting someone. 😉
