Neat trick with the wood glue! Like yourself (probably), I've ruined things with superglue. I was thinking that a glue gun would do the trick, but it also feels as if it doesn't get enough surface area to be reliable long term, so I'm definitely trying PVA next!
The nice thing with PVAc glue is that is doesn't haze, a mistake can be cleaned up with a damp cloth (before it cures) and it goes transparent when it's fully cured. And it's strong.
Those LM4040 regulators can be tricky... the different voltage versions seem to have almost identical part numbers unless you look very very closely... 😕
Exactly, and there are tolerance options to take into account as well. I think the supplier just mixed them up when preparing the shipment, but I got it right on the second try 😅
