    Best video ever from DivKid...
    Easy to follow due to the graphic overlay and the time you take to explore the sounds.
    Great work :)

    I've had this module for a while, but I still come back and watch the dubstep pan flute part at 14:45 for a laugh occasionally.

    This module is unreal! A plethora of really musical yet diverse and experimental tones with all the fun and hands on control! Almost every oscillator you could want!

    I've had this module for ages. I was always told to get one when I got my first modules. Its been kinda left out whilst I was learning the others and buying others.
    After watching this video I've realised what this thing is capable of. To say I can't lift my jaw right now would be an understatement. I'm also questioning why I forgot this thing in my rack. I got a lovely snare out of it once and it did feature as a backing to one of my tracks....
    I think it was just a case of saving it for a rainy day, when I just needed thst extra thing.
    Thank you. I also wonder why I missed this video!
    Time to tune the universe ✨️

    if ther was ever a reason to get into modular this piece of kit would be it in my book. Simply an amazing amount of sonic power displayed here.

    This video is so incredibly helpful. I've been using Braids for several months and still learning all the things it can do. Very limited documentation comes with it, so it is all experimentation for me.

    This video is incredible - but you know what would be even better? Updating the description by Indexing each mode with its respective timestamp in the video. I was just noodling around with HARM and then wanted to see your take on it. I'll have to navigate around in the video a bit to find it.
    Example:
    HARM - Additive Harmonics(12:14) ua-cam.com/video/QgeCO1DD2wA/v-deo.html
    CLOU - Granular Cloud Generator (23:48) ua-cam.com/video/QgeCO1DD2wA/v-deo.html
    PRTC - Particle System Simulator (24:24) ua-cam.com/video/QgeCO1DD2wA/v-deo.html

    Is there any way we can get the graphic overlays copy and pasted into a pdf? They are so well done and descriptive, I'd love to just pull them up on a smart phone or my computer when I'm diving deep into Braids and exploring it. It's sat in my rack for a couple months. But now I'm really excited about it. Thanks!

    Divkid can you tell us what sequencer is driving the notes, esp the first sequence which feels like TB3 style but sounds so much better than anything I have heard. There are two out there they I am considering.

    Outstanding demo. How is Pluk mode sequenced?

    • @djempirical
      @djempirical 8 років тому

      PLUK is one of the voices that requires a strike input vs. a VCA controlling the envelope after the synth. Check the "trig" input cable in the video to see which these are.

    I have a question about the whole analogue/digital thing. I was under the impression analogue is where its at for lovely warm sound and smooth sounding filter cuttofs at high resonance etc. Because this is a digital oscillator, does it behave and sound, well, less good than an analoge oscillator? I know its not a VST synth which is just code and maths at work but do those VST soft synth traits carry over to digital eurorack modules?

    • @ChromeGhost
      @ChromeGhost 7 років тому +1

      Analog is good for certain types of filters. Many classic synthesizers and classic sounds use digital oscillators

    • @mteixido9
      @mteixido9 5 років тому

      @Alastair Jackson true, DCO can still be analog but controled via digital parameters like in the Juno alpha.
