"A very entertaining project. Glad you let me share it with you." Vice versa certainly Dogge! Looking forward very eagerly for the maiden of this little gem! 😀👍🏻
I would love to sit down with you and do one of these with you! Love your work! ive only just started out in the hobby! But childhood dreams do eventually come true!! The best hobby in the world!!
Great project idea! I tried to do the same thing but with 2 eachine p51s'. I gotta say its pretty cursed to see a p51 biplane but pretty hilarous too. Especially since it flies so irregularly, still a work in progress so will only get better from here!
Thank you. You made some great videos about it. The Sport Cub 500 really is a great plane right out of the box. So is the Top Race Sky Eagle, which is the exact same plane in yellow instead of red. I've wanted a micro biplane for some time now, but the Eflite Stearman and Waco are so fragile. Now I have one made from carbon fiber and forgiving EPP foam. I hope the UMX guys switch to EPP for all of their planes someday (My Ultrix is made of EPP). Happy flying!
Heh-heh. Agreed. That was an easy choice ;-) I didn't even get the full track in the video. If ya wanna hear it in full or save a copy for yourself (I did): ua-cam.com/video/luAqu8VX5wo/v-deo.html Happy flying, and let the music play!
Me too. I hate being cooped up with this virus. Good thing I love to build. I'll try to get first flight in soon as possible. Right now it's back in the hangar as I come up with some form of hatch cover for the battery cavity. I could fly it as is, but why not clean it up aerodynamically and visually? Happy flying!
Does anyone know if I could make steerable tail gear by attaching the rear wheel to the rudder? It seems quite simple to me but I am scared to try it in case the rudder gets ripped off on landing
Best to mount it to the tail of the fuselage with a pivot mount of some sort and run a "tiller" to the rudder by bending the top piece of wire back to the rudder for steering. If you do then it's important that the tail wheel pivot point is aligned with the rudder hinge line to reduce or eliminate binding. Do not mount the wheel directly to the tail if possible (The Park Zone Su-26 is done that way and breaks many tails on landing because of.

Phenomenal skills and knowledge very well done, looks awesome as well and looking forward to seeing the maiden. Best regards from Alan in the UK 👍👍🤗🤗❤
Thank you. Very kind words. Happy flying!

Sounds crazy....... so naturally I love it. Hope to see video someday. Happy flying!
Awesome project! The Sport Cub 500 is my Top Pick for a Beginner Plane so I'm eager to see how it flies as a Biplane. See you in the Air!

@@Doggeslife thank you so much for the reply. This is very useful information. I will experiment with different pivots 👍
