A couple of points. The display box cut out is always a crap idea. It's like having the plastic handle on the side of the box - just something to snag and get ripped each time you slide the contents in and out. The controller is so-so as RTF el-cheapos go but going to a hobby grade radio on multi is a big step up. But it works. The big fault with the Volantex V761 series planes was always that they had no motor failsafe on loss of signal. Lots of whinges about 'My plane just flew away." on Amazon etc! The latest versions seem to have fixed this but might be something to check in case you are getting old stock. Paint the props a bright colour to suit your environment - black can be very hard to find in the grass! Also you need to press on the sides of the motor/gearbox mounting position when continuing to pop the prop back on or you'll eventually dislodge the mount. A bit of glue reseats it easily. Also when the lego clip bits get a bit worn it's tempting to superglue the prop on. DON'T! You can tighten it up with a thin paper shim but if you make it solid the power of that 10x20mm motor will spin the motor pinion off in a full power nose in. (Beginners never remember to kill the throttle before impact!) And trying to find or buy a replacement will be a real exercise in frustration! Oddly the same prop solidly mounted on the little V761-1 Trainstar (8.5x20 motor) never does. Still these are far and away the best bang for buck beginner toy available today. And more experienced pilots can still enjoy them.
Thank you very much for your advice. I am planning to paint the tips of all pop-out prop yellow. I already spent over an hour total looking for little props in the grass from this and my Eachine Mini Warbird airplanes. I need to check the failsafe in all of them. Just curious, how many RC airplanes (and helicopters and drones) do you have? You seem to be quite experienced
@@PropsWheels Oh our group of Old Fart Fliers must have a couple of hundred drones planes and helis ranging from top of the range DJI stuff down to $15 cheap shop helis and mini drones. The cheap stuff gives as much pleasure as the multi thousand dollar units and gets a lot more air time. 😀
@@theoztreecrasher2647 That is very cool, sounds like a great, fun and diverse group. We have a fun group here in the Boston area; we call ourselves the AeroJunkies. 😂
What type of connector does the battery uses?
The connector on the battery seems to be 2.0mm Molex connector:
