    I can’t believe it but I have a TIP for *you* Felix.
    With your favorite carry, you said it’s “more flexible” and it’s 50-50 whether people like it. For those who want that carry, put the last two inches into the slim side pocket to keep it tucked in.🌿

    I have adapted my carry system by adding a few drops of super glue to the belt loop webbing to stiffen it, now it doesn’t flop around so much. Then I slipped some bicycle inner tube on the scabbard. Useful in an emergency as a fire lighting aid but the real purpose is to hold whatever I want under the tube, eg the fire rod and tweezers. Now it is the perfect camping knife for me. Great knife.

    Numerous carry options is a good, I can see a number of improvements for future models. The O-ring is a good, however, if it needs replaced is a problem. A belt loop that is able to be remove from your belt without taking your belt off would be one to add. I would like to see a Scandi grind blade model made as well. The slight difference in slicing between the two seems less important than the ease of sharpening and added strength of the edge.👍

      @FelixImmler  Рік тому +2

      Yes you are right... this suggestion sounds interesting!

    • @VolkerHett
      @VolkerHett Рік тому +2

      Disclaimer, I was a soldier in the German Navy and learned a lot there, like using yarn and a needle :D
      Replacing the O-Ring is easy, open the seem on the strip, replace the O-ring and sew it back together.
      While adding a velcro strip onto the cordura is possible, It probably will not fit through the hole in the sheath. It should be possible to make a metal clip which goes from the top into the hole in the sheath which then is secured on the sheath with some velcro or an O-Ring.
      I expect a boat load of third party add ons and DiY modifications for the Venture series in the future.
      The flat grind is perfect for what I need. Try cutting sail cloth with a scandi grind :)

    Hi Felix, wieder mal ein klasse Tipps und Tricks-Video a la Felix! 👍 Eine schnelle Ergänzung zur Trageweise mit dem Karabiner, wenn die Position der Gürtelschlaufe nicht passt. Einfach ein Stück 25mm oder 30mm (kann auch 20mm sein je nach Karabinergröße) Gurtband aus dem Nähzubehör in passender Länge zuschneiden, die Enden flach aufeinander legen und nahe am Rand vernähen.
    Dann die Schlaufe umstülpen, dass die Naht innen liegt und auf den Gürtel schlaufen, fertig. Das breitere Teil des Karabiners sollte dabei nach unten zeigen, um das Einsetzen/Entnehmen der Messerscheide zu erleichtern.
    Zusätzlich kann man auch noch einen weiteren Abnäher oberhalb des Karabiners setzen, nachdem die Schlaufe umgestülpt wurde. Dann sitzt die Schlaufe nochmal besser am Gürtel und der Karabiner wird am "Rotieren" gehindert. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn ich noch mehr meiner "Tips und Tricks" zu zeigen, wenn ich die Möglichkeit bekomme, das Pro/Kit zu testen. LG

      Danke für deinen interessanten Hinweis. Ja, das macht Sinn.
      Ich habe eine bestimmte Anzahl Review-Messer beantragt und habe diese bereits verteilt. Vielleicht bekomme ich im Herbst eine zweit Tranche, wenn die Scheide überarbeitet ist. Aber frag doch mal bei Victorinox direkt, ob Du ein Messer bekommst für ein Review. Nimmt mich wunder wie die reagieren...

    Edit: Das Denglersystem kann man auch anders, als du es zeigst, im Tragesytem tragen. Es passt perfekt unter die Messerscheide (zeige ich in meinem zweiten Video zum Venture). Dann benötigt man das Klettsystem nicht unbedingt. Klett finde ich aber auch gut... habe ich im ersten Video gezeigt. Allerdings nur als Lösung, um den O-Ring zu umgehen.

    I am very impressed by the typical Swiss attention to detail that gives so much versatility to the carrying system. May I recommend that to help you draw the knife without turning your wrist so much that you try gripping the release and knife handle thumbs up instead of thumbs down. Like a “monkey grip”.

    • @FelixImmler
      @FelixImmler  Рік тому +1

      Ufffff, that sounds interesting. Yes i want learn that. Please can you explaine me again?

    • @rcg5317
      @rcg5317 Рік тому +3

      @@FelixImmlerof course! You usually grasp the knife with the blade extending from between your thumb and first finger. When you do this in the scabbard you must turn your wrist a great deal to reach it on your hip. Instead, grasp the knife so the blade extends from your little finger, like a dagger. You will need to change grip for most uses, then change back to reinsert the knife to the scabbard. This is also a very safe way to return the knife to the scabbard because you touch the back edge of the knife to the lip of the scabbard to guide it into the sheath and you don’t need to use you other hand and risk cutting your fingers.

    Ich finde es sind alles gute Ideen und sinnvolle Erweiterungen der “Standart“ Tragweisen. Ich persönlich finde die Tragweite des Ventura Pro mit der Gürtelschlaufe und dem Kletterband sehr interessant. Aber da ich meistens noch ein etwas stärkeres Messer z.B. das SOS Messer von Victorinox schon am Gürtel trage nehme ich das Venture entweder im Rucksack oder am Nacken mit einem Lederband.

    I would try carrying the knife with the carabiner attached to the belt but hanging low enough so that the sheath drops into the lower long tool pocket of your pants. This way the knife hangs low for easy access but does not flop around. I carry my Mora Companion HD this way with the sheath snapped onto a metal stud I attached above the long tool pocket of my Carhartt overalls. I stretched a piece of bicycle inner tube over the sheath so it does not slide out of the pocket and some stretch cord around the handle similar to you for security. Perfect.🇨🇦

      usually, while fighting, knife has the edge outside also to be retained between teeth e.g. launching a grenade during assault, and it is mostly presented with horizontal blade and wrist down to the opponent so wrist vulnerable venes are protected by fatal cuts and blade can better pass between opponents ribs to hit vital organs.
      In frontal hand to hand knife skirmish, hits are mostly down to up because the attack can be reinforced using knee as hammer to stick the blade deeply in opponent body winning his arms resistance and distance...

    One thing I would have like to see on the adventure knife would have been a ratchet design on the hex adapter that being said I’m sure Swiss army and yourself would have looked at this idea.

      I don't think it would be a good idea. Ratchets are not so reliable for a long time use, can't wash them or use in a dirty environment and not so good with high torques.

    Legal point: in some locations it is allowed to carry such a knife openly, but concealed will get you in big trouble if caught.

    Hi Felix,
    wieder einmal ein Super Video mit vielen tollen Ideen zum Ausprobieren!
    Feststehende Messer trage ich gerne diagonal an der Hüfte mit der Griff-Seite Richtung Bachnabel. So getragen, ist das Messer in einer fließenden Bewegung nach vorne-oben zu ziehen.
    Das Tec-Lock kenne ich bislang nicht: Kann man das diagonal an der Grundplatte fixieren?
    Grüzie aus Deutschland!
    Hi Felix,
    Once again a super video with lots of ideas to try out!
    I really like to carry fixed blades diagonally on the hip, with the grip pointing to my navel. The drawing of the knife, when carried this way, is a fluent motion in a forwards-upwards direction.
    As I'm not familiar with Tec-Locks: Is there a way to mount them diagonally to the base-plate?
    Grüezie from Germany!

    • @FelixImmler
      @FelixImmler  Рік тому +1

      Nein, zumindest am Venture lässt sich so viel ich weiss, das TekLok nicht diagonal montieren. Aber vielleicht gibt's da schon einen Trick. Wie gesagt ich bin eine absolute TekLok -Flasche 😀

    Hello I just bought one of these, and I was trying to see a way to carry this knife blade up. However I believe this wasn't designed to be carried that way, is this just an unsafe way to carry it? Or the wrong way? Or is it a dumb way because you can lose it? Do you have any recommendations?

      you have to secure the knife if you want carry it upside down. I would say the rubber ring is not enough... but this is just my feeling.
