im a beginer beat maker and after watch this i have find out what i miss i my mix/drum and other, i just wana say thank you keep doing this we love you and always support you, i also share this to my frends so wee will learn together here>>>>>bigLuvfrom indonesia🚩
The fundamental is not always the lowest frequency. Thats what i was think for very long time aswell. Its the frequency(group) that defines the sound, and it may be always diffrent.
One thing to remember too is that most saturtors that say "tube" or "warm" add even harmonics and most plugins that say "tape" add odd harmonics. I like odd harmonics on parts with chords and I like even harmonics on parts with just one note at a time. That is just me though they both can work for anything.
@@SergioSilva-tn9ut depends on how your mix is but i would try slower attack and not so much threshold. But try it out and watch more videos about mix and Mastering. Im learning too but in General you shouldnt drive the threshold too hard😂
The 808 example truly shows the effect of saturation on the spectrometer. I really enjoyed this.
This guy explains these ideas and theory so well, this info has always so been hard to comprehend by others. Keep going King!
8:27 is where the Regular Show intro starts

So once u group ur drums u can saturate the entire bus right? Same way?
@@DaBeatm8ker Yes you can saturate at any stage of the process. I often do 3 of 4 times in small amounts with different saturators.
@@lawinter1949 Thanks man! Def gonna try some stuff out... Def makes everything sound bigger.... Thanks!!!!!!!!!

What about the distorsion unit in distructor I like the modes it has for distortion/saturation.
I don’t use it much. In fact I forgot it exists :(

I did the ad volume and cut with the compressor like u said on other video and it lost a lot of dynamics dude
