It’s crazy how for years I’ve been trying to get your attention to somehow help me with my career but whole time you’ve been doing it on UA-cam and I just need to apply what you’re teaching
Great topic. A thing about amplitude processing: Clipping doesn't "make the mix louder"...makeup gain does. It's the same with compression, just without ratios working downwards from peak (hence the term 'downward compression'). Compression and Clipping MAKE THE PEAKS QUIETER. It is all the function is doing(!) Later down the signal chain, the processor's back-end makeup gain is effectively _increasing the relative low-to-average levels_ to make everything gain in perceived loudness. This achieves the goal of the peak amplitude of resulting signal remaining the same level as the signal before processing. 2nd thing, on terms relating to harmonics vs amplitude: Fletcher-Munsen curves are also AMPLITUDE-dependent. Clipping is only directed at _amplitude;_ the harmonic changes are artifacts resulting from turning anything more and more into a square wave. And so the by-product of increased clipping is Odd-order harmonics, even though the function specifically aims at peaks. ***Saturation*** is the intentional, specified harmonic addition (both odd and even-order) in the frequency spectrum independent of amplitude. PEACE
This has been months in th making for me. THANK you so muxch for explaining this and sharing I have been after this sound for about a year doing all kinds of whacky stuff wgen the sound I wanted was just eq and soft clipper I can finally make songs sound loud and bass frequncies reverberate through my track how I like, busywork beats the goat!
Your snare is making me blink every time it hits. Its waaaaaaaay too loud. Get a plugin like smexoscope, to show the actual sound waves.and visually show them getting clipped. Heard someone explain it in 3 minutes, what took you 15 min to attempt
I used a clipper and then to make it louder a limiter but the clipper prevents clipping if that makes sense. So even if I just had the clipper, it would grab the audio before hitting a certain dB. I’ll make more Videos to explain more
Thanks Busy, I have troubles with this - I especially have trouble with the bass areas, I like to add specific bass notes to fill in melodic "holes" (I tend to use more than one bass, one sub area, one a bit above) but I have trouble EQ-ing it to a sonically balanced result .....
Hmm are you sure that the conputer is way louder ?. I think i be getting played it my mix sounds way louder in the computer but when i play nack on phone after rendering its low compared to my project. Even when i added plugins.
Great content as always, but I wanted to know what is the difference between this clipping and limiting, wouldn't a brick wall limiter cut off the peak just the same? or is it dealing with harmonics and not volume?
Did you come here to learn about making a mix louder? Or to find cool drum patterns? You came here looking to be negative. You don’t need to be like this. If you are going to criticize him, at least make it relevant to the topic so you don’t look like a hater. Be better king.
Wow I really enjoyed tuning into this Mr.Busy, I’m new to the whole learning from peers on UA-cam type deal and had no idea of the potential amount of concrete info and insight on that could be brought forth in these, with such a modest yet motivating vibe to it all. It was all down to earth and the results are undeniably impressive Unfortunately I’m an FL mobile user and I don’t think there’s any clipping option other than maybe messing around with gate, limiter, multi band compressor and leveller?
This is great info. I struggle with this area of making music and will try this tonight.
And this is the reason why we follow your channel..! Dope content busy. Thanks a lot 🔥👊🏽

well yeah we have to do it on our own cause we will waste time thinking someone will give us a hand out or put us on. I thought that too at first.

So e.g adding a Transient processor to regain after it lost in soft clipper. I'm new to amplitude processing

Please could anyone tell me how to achieve loudness when uploading a type beat on UA-cam? I export my videos with the ZGame Vizualizer from FL STUDIO.

Shout out Busy works beats keep going everyone‼️
Bro you releasing the song used in this video I want to listen to it 🔥🔥🙏🏾
My biggest struggle is getting loudness 😐
Hey man whilst I am mixing do I need to gain match with a the clipper?
A soft clip is the first thing I put on my master, then proceed to my regular mastering chain
this is great but i rly just want to see a simple step to step what to do
i rewatched the whole video and now i understand the steps to take, thank you Busy!!!
i love u man
Wow my mixes are so loud now that my ears hurt! Thanks busy works beats
Game putting in work 💪❤️🔥
Coulda changed the title 🤧
when im famous im gonna give you 1 million dollars
Deal 🤝
Wow I had no clue that clippers were so powerful but this tutorial told me everything I need to know. Thanks!
Hey Busy how come you weren’t clipping on your master from pushing hard, did you put a limiter or another clipper on it?
I used a clipper and then to make it louder a limiter but the clipper prevents clipping if that makes sense.

Yolo swag 420
does this apply to beats also coz if i think about it since it gives more headroom that allows also some room for vocals by the artist
Yes
Wow
Great Explanation, thank you!
Thanks Game, I was doing it close but not right 😂 now I’m sounding much cleaner 😊 love you brother, been watching since like 09
ALWAYS JUST SO MUCH FRUITFUL STUFF ON THIS CHANNEL! Thanks you Busy!!!👌👌👏👏🙌🙌

Dynamic EQ or multiband compression will help you glue blass
to this day i dint learn nothing from weaver beats but i alredy learn enough in here to sell a couple of beats
Thank you, I watch weaver just acknowledging you acknowledging me and how I could help!
thanks Busy much appreciated👍
Welcome to the clip club Busy! 😄

Wow! Nice one busyyyyyyy woooorks beats, u r da dopest!
Is the Ableton Saturator similar to the stock fl clipper that you’re using?
Hi bro thanks for the tutorial, I was thinking you'll run everything into ozone imagery too see any possible clipping signals?
Simple clear and obvious 👌🏻 Thank you

Very nice work!
clip em if u got em!
Isnt it similar to distortion then?
Thanks!
Dope content
Thanks ✌🏾👍🏾
Nice tutorial!!
Thanks guruji
Great tutorial

Dope video brother…

50 seconds in, horrible drums. I'm sorry.

@@ELLIOT8209 Didn't i already? Now you've just called me to return to this thread.

What's the best clipper VST?
I like T-Racks Classic clipper plugin
@@busyworksbeats Acustca Audio ASH, Acustica Audio Fire the Clip, Newfangled Saturate, Kazrog Kclip 3, Standartclip....

I use soft clip on tracks clipper and everything is so beautifully loud. Love it.
Can you give a list of the mastering vsts you use as I only have the stock plugins from fl studio and would like to expand my options?
@busyworksbeats
learn stock
I may have to do a series because there are so many new ones out on the market to research 🔬
@@busyworksbeats please do it will so helpful and I'm sure others will benefit from it too
