I have the Flair Classic, just to play with manual espresso, and to take along on road trips, etc. But I LOVE my fully modded Gaggia Classic Evo Pro! If I was to get another manual espresso machine to try, it would be the Cafelat Robot (Only if I could find it in black though). I am not into milk drinks, so don’t need that capability.
The black one looks really cool
Thank you for this video. For some reason, I prefer the IMS 8-10g basket when I use my Rocket Appartamento. But can we put this 1 cup basket in the fliir? Did you shoot with a 1-cup basket, with a ratio like 9g in 19g out?
You can do that!
Skip to 6:30 to hear why he's selling it.
Good tip
Do you think the chestnut X would work with the flair 58?
Couldn't say! I haven't tried!
Ya I bought a breville 870XL, I know why you made the move lol.
Breville is underrated
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner I love the Flair Pro2. The only reason I bought the flair was for travel use. And Flair 58 is too much for me. At home, I use my Breville BES920 Dual Boiler.
Do you think breville grinder will work with the flair 58
It won’t work well
Thanks
@@Zer213000 of course
Wish u the best for the helpful videos
I will work. It's about your expectation vs capability. But my old Breville BCG820 have hard time grinding beans that is roasted too light.
I’m moving away from a breville dual boiler and to a flair 58. The reason is that the build quality in the Breville is atrocious. The machine has a common issue where if you descale it will prevent the steam wand from working because the sensors will get coated, Breville replaced my machine under warranty to fix it. Two years in, and out of warranty, this issue happened again, which I was able to fix by flooding and draining the boiler. But now three years in the gaskets are starting to fail, and Breville charges $500 to fix it.
Honestly its not worth the hassle. It produces good espresso, and the workflow is good, but its terribly built.
Sorry it didn’t work well for you! My last bdb was 9 years old and then I broke by trying to do a really intense mod!
it's definitely an inferior machine you're trading it for, I don't think you'll have the same kind of temperature stability from the Breville
I’ve been quite happy with the temp stability of the breville
It is an amazing machine to start making smoooooooooth expresso and experiment at home but the workflow is a bit clunky and the volume of the brew chamber can be a bit too small if you want to pull long shots. Still really good value for the money when you consider you can replicate shot profiles from virtually any machine. *However,* I think the design and build quality could be better for 550$ because the structure of the 58 is too wobbly . The main frame is a pain to adjust and center properly and the whole body moves a lot when you are pulling shots and there is a huge gap at the lever junction that could be a potential weak point for durability. The portafilter wood handle seems hollow like I feel it could crack if tried to tight it uptoo hard to the group head.
This is the opposite of my experience. Painless workflow and solid build quality.
I haven’t had issues with the build quality outside of the wood accents could be better!
well this machine in practical looks very familiar.... 🤔
Hmmm strange!
I hated the workflow of the Flair 58.
It has its pros and cons
Dude! You are getting rid of an espresso maker that is becoming as iconic as a La Pavoni!
it defiantly was not an easy decision
A little better..? That's an understatement. The easiest Slayer mod is just disengaging the limit switch on the hot water dial.
I moved some tubes as well
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner I know. But i drink more americano and I don't have space for a kettle. I want the hot water feature to remain functional.
If you're such a small youtuber stop spending a whole minute sharing your socials and focus on content mate. For god sakes.
From what I’ve heard is one of the best ways to grow your channel and I have definitely seen the benefit of it even if it seems redundant
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner I think you are doing great brother. Keep it up❤
@@yordleG thank you! That’s very kind
Does 1zpresso JX-Pro works with flair 58..??
I couldn't say for sure but I am fairly confident
Any grinder that grinds for espresso should work. Have a K-Pro with a Pro 2 and it pulls some decent shots.
Nico one! What has been the fate of your Robot ?😁
Robot left awhile ago
Salmonella 😂
I hate that name 😂
UNLESS YOU ARE ELIMINATING PLASTIC YOU ARE WAISTING YOUR TIME !!!
What do u mean?
@@CabeensCoffeeCorner ANY LEVEL AND I MEAN ANY !! LEVEL OF A PART, OR PIECE OF PLASTIC TUBING OR WHATEVER WITHIN YOUR EQUIPMANT THAT WATER PASSES THROUGH YOU ARE INGESTING CONTAMINATION !!!
