How a comparison with the denon prl pro im only asking cause i haven't heard any earbuds like and what surprised me about the denon prl that even at low volume they still sound good
I am in a weird situation where I mainly use my wireless earbuds for Pc/PS5/Switch gaming which makes at least APTX and ideally APTX Adaptive necessary otherwise the delay is too big. Additionally a battery life without ANC of at least 8h as well because I wear them literally all day:D Unfortunately there aren't really many buds I could use, the Sennheiser TW3 I claimed warranty for the 3rd time now but they just have really bad connection issues for me and last time one of them broke in 2 pieces so I want to switch. The only high end Buds that I know of are the Denon Perl Pros which I dislike visually and those from Master and Dynamic which on paper at least are even better and look very nice + insane battery life. In Europe these aren't out yet so I still got some time to think - really looking forward to your comparison which based on your comments here will probably happen soon!! Thanks:)
sorry for late reply on this but samsung does block aptx. This is aptx you showed but its the weakest version of it. aptx audio, aptx adaptive, and aptx hd are all the hi res version of aptx. So what you have on samsung its aptx the origional which is basically like aac level in codec. The people weren't wrong per say they just meant samsung only allows for basic aptx first gen aptx.
Pass on these. I think the general consensus is that they're great...but nothing we haven't heard or experienced already. I think we're at peak TWS, and the next generation are all going to need some serious upgrades. Case in point, the Technics az70, XM4, Pi7 s2 are all still amazing and compete with current models, despite being up to 3 years old.
So you don't care for aptx lossless? Don't you care for the potential of CD quality music through a TWS. This IS going to be the peak for TWS, not all the rest of the stuff seen on az70, XM4 etc.
@@pokeken I actually care very much about lossless quality, which is why I have wired IEMS and DACS, along with TWS. the thing is, there are few Android devices that actually have the AptX Lossless codec, so if you don't have both a phone and TWS with the codec, it'll default to the one both have. In addition, it doesn't matter if it has the AptX Lossless codec if the drivers and tuning aren't great. Ron says it himself, these aren't replacing any of his other top 3, and some of them don't have AptX Lossless. So yes, I care, but there's more to sound quality than having the codec.

Just because Ron doesn't have a phone (e.g Motorola razer 40 ultra, Nothing phone 2, Asus ZenFone 10, Sony Xperia 1/5, and the many Xiaomi, Vivo, Nubia, ROG phones) with snapdragon sound that can transmit aptx lossless doesn't mean it is not capable and able to provide (potentially) improved SQ (which is why Ron agreed that he would give his feedback once he has a capable phone). It's the equivalent of reviewing a new car and not being able to put it into track mode and taking it around the track and passing judgement at the end on that limited basis.
@@pokekenat the price is going for, there's the concept of diminishing returns. Even if the sound is Lossless, there are already other Lossless earbuds on the market for cheaper. But you're saying I can't pass on this one because this one thing hasn't been tested yet? Who are you to tell me what I should and shouldn't buy? My opinion is based on the fact that I've literally spent thousands of dollars on tws, but I can't use my prior experiences with M&D (MW07 for $300), along with also having other high end models to say I'm not blown away by his review? I have the MW08 Sports and I like the sound, I like the style, but I've had lots of issues with them and Master & Dynamic's customer service isn't up to par. I really don't think the $50 hike on the new buds are worth it. There are much better sounding alternatives out on the market.
@@ronontech I also had the MW08 Sport and HATED them. M&D really need to get their act together. They constantly make silly decisions with design and usability and think folks will ignore that for premium build. The fact that the MW08 had no EQ and were extremely heavy (8+ grams for wireless earbuds is comical). I sold them off ASAP. I found the B&O EX to be more well rounded, though def. not perfect. I like the addition of the EQ as well as the new codecs but I'm bummed they still have the same weight/ fit.
Seems like they are going for more of a premium fashion product & materials with the kevlar and sapphire, which do absolutely nothing for sound quality. I'll go for the Audio-Technica ath-twx9's instead.
2nd review that doesnt bother confirming whether aptx lossless makes a real difference when using a source that can transmit it. This will be the big game changer for TWS over the next 2 years and differentiate good and the great for SQ. For example, a aptx lossless comparison between these MW9 and Denon Perl Pro would be great.
I was VERY surprised you liked the fit of these earphones. I'll try these out but I'm very skeptical of the fit on these. I had the MW08 Sport briefly and hated them. 8+ grams per bud make these heavier than virtually ALL other mainstream earbuds. They fit terribly for me. And I usually don't have an issue with fit for most earphones. The MW08 sport were even worse than the Sony WF-1000XM4, which is quite the accomplishment. I was really hoping M&D would do a full redesign for their next buds. Apparently not.
IMO, despite the size, they fit really comfortably. They are small than the MW08s. I found the XM4s very comfortable as well. But not all ears are the same. Thanks for sharing.
Don’t waste your money! Failed in 6 months and 2 months of chasing customer support they still have not resolved this.. out of pocket with no earbuds or refund complete disgrace Worst customer service I have experienced

No, it's aptX Adaptive, per M&D's tech specs on their website.

Yes, I still own these. The latest firmware version for the earbuds are 0.1.11.0.

I understand where you're coming from. My MW08s stopped taking updates after about a year.

Great point. They had the Sapphire glass and Kelvar case with the MW08 Sport as well.

My phone doesn't support aptX Lossless, so it makes no sense for me to cover it. Once I have a device that does support that codec, I will.
