Hi Brian, this video reminded me of my own fathers death in 1981 when I was a young adult still living with my parents. My mum and I neglected our garden after his passing. Bereavement can leave you paralysed and lacking the will to do everyday things. Helping out this family will have not only cleared their garden but will give them a sense of the future. Once we felt better the first thing we did was clean up our garden! Gardens are not only spaces but expressions of our feelings. A neglected garden caused by bereavement expresses the sadness of the people living there. Just seeing it cleaned up can change their mood, the first step towards accepting their loss. Keep up this valuable work man!

Perhaps you could team up with a girl scout troop when you restore a yard for "seniors", the girls could plant flowers(plants or bulbs for next Spring). This would require no extra work on your part besides a phone call to let the Troop Leader know the address. I hope you love this idea. *It doesn't have to be $100 worth of flowers, $5-$6 per house and a homemade card with photo of the girls. It's an awesome way to get them involved with the community. They could even "plant" a painted sign that says, Planted by Troop 9 of Oakwood, as an example. ❤️👍🌍🌎🌏🍉🐸🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮🦮

I owned a few push mowers in my lifetime and the absolute best mower for the money was a 21" Honda, damn near indestructible. Never regretted that purchase.
It is always unexpected to find the little surprises that turn-up, the pretty small rose, the little extra brick pathway by the driveway, a walk along the front of the house. By 7:15, the effect of the edging is showing and the prettiness of that first home starts to show. That was quite a batch of leaves you found to rake up. The house looks like someone can live in it now. The second house, I started thinking the prior owners had probably really liked being outdoors...it had two porches...and then you ran across a big barbeque setup. The fenced driveway section seemed like a nice feature. Good find with the little patio. That new little mower does two things, shows it is easy to mow that place with a small mower, and that that is a pretty decent little mower in what it could mow and mulch without fussing. Good cleanup.

You’re right it’s always impressive what mother nature provides and have a little details can make such a difference! There are a handful of yard maintenance channels I watch Brian, you being my favorite, and I have to call you a "yard detailer" because of how conscious you are of your weed eating (my favorite part), you really clean up the cracks in the concrete and bricks with the edging. It just makes the whole process look clean and immaculate. Another fun video to watch, especially a twofer.
Brian and Justin are coming with the juice now. Fancy intro, walking like badasses! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ it!!!! Oh wait, should probably mention the stellar lawn transformation too. 🤣👍 Great job guys. Thanks for putting a smile on my face today, really needed it.

You always do such an amazing job! And while I sympathize with these people for their loss, they remind me of slumlords. The condition of the properties in general shows that they have not been taken care of in a LONG time!!! Instead they take in the rents and do nothing to maintain the properties. So sad that there are people like that out there taking advantage of your generosity. Just looking at porches and stairs tells you that.

The only thing sucks, is hauling off all the leaves, branches, and other debris which adds to your time and cost. In my neck of woods I make a pile and burn it and sometimes make a party of it with good ole comfort food and cool beverages lol. Now you need to paint the fence and house and you will have perfection lol. Job well done, cheers :)
Why do you guys not wear puncture proof gloves? So dangerous when picking up all the leaves and pushing down on the leaves. You guys do a great job and I love your videos. Health & Safety first.

You did a very good job. I love to see the make over when it is all picked up and looking good. I’ve watched a few who they just mow and do so weed eating where the mower did not get. They did not take the time to finish the job. They said it is a free mow so they don’t do anything else. I respect the ones who put just as much effort into a free lawn as they would a paying lawn. Thank you for taking just a little extra time to give a great lawn. Looked so very good. Thank you.

You always do such an amazing job! And while I sympathize with these people for their loss, they remind me of slumlords. The condition of the properties in general shows that they have not been taken care of in a LONG time!!! Instead they take in the rents and do nothing to maintain the properties. So sad that there are people like that out there taking advantage of your generosity. Just looking at porches and stairs tells you that.

You really have made a difference to the two properties but what a shame they’ve been left to deteriorate, the second home especially had a lot of character. Hope they can be turned into decent homes again.

The only thing sucks, is hauling off all the leaves, branches, and other debris which adds to your time and cost. In my neck of woods I make a pile and burn it and sometimes make a party of it with good ole comfort food and cool beverages lol. Now you need to paint the fence and house and you will have perfection lol. Job well done, cheers :)
Yeah we have to be careful about burning around here. Thankfully there’s a place I can take it that turns it into mulch and compost
Why do you guys not wear puncture proof gloves? So dangerous when picking up all the leaves and pushing down on the leaves. You guys do a great job and I love your videos. Health & Safety first.

I love to see the make over when it is all picked up and looking good. I’ve watched a few who they just mow and do so weed eating where the mower did not get. They did not take the time to finish the job. They said it is a free mow so they don’t do anything else. I respect the ones who put just as much effort into a free lawn as they would a paying lawn. Thank you for taking just a little extra time to give a great lawn. Looked so very good. Thank you.
