Oooh, I didn't know we had a free city loop. I have used the hoppers before though. An awesome way to see the city.
City Hall. I can remember my first visits when I was barely 6. When you rode the lift, you could see books (I assume council records) stacked up on ledges up the lift shaft. There was also wrought iron work stacked in there. Last time I went there (2019?) the shaft was all sealed as part of the restoration works.
Anyway, I need to watch and stop yapping.

@@BradGryphonn I didn’t know we had a free city loop bus service in Brisbane until a few weeks ago either and have since used it a few times when filming. Very handy!
I first went up the clock tower with a friend in 1993 and I actually recently found the footage from that day (I had hired a vhs video camera and was filming the day) which I’m thinking of uploading as Brisbane looked so different back then! Enjoy the rest of the video.

@TravelWithBek , actually, I do have a question. I noticed in your last video when you were at a train station in the CBD. You walked up this super long flight of stairs. I would like to take the train to/from the airport, but not if I have to drag my luggage up all those stairs! Is it hit and miss as to whether there are escalators/elevators in the train stations?

@@StaceyRomberg hi…actually there is an escalator if you need it at that station (Central) I had just gone in at a different point. Most stations have elevators and escalators (even the suburbs usually have an elevator). You should be fine getting to from the airport and city stations. I will try and do a vlog about arriving in Brisbane and getting to the city in the future.
