I'm a Londoner and been fortunate to have visited Brisbane several times, but still lots I've not done or seen. I've also watched umpteen video's over the years, but this is best video ever, for showing the delights of Brisbane. Thank you ❤
Aww that's so sweet and thanks so much for the comment and kind words. Good news is you can see some different things on your next visit here. So glad you enjoyed watching :)
Thank you so much for this! I’m travelling to Brisbane for 4 weeks in August/September to visit family. I was so worried I would have nothing to do while my family is at work but this has given me so many wonderful ideas! Thank you so much. This is such a fantastic and comprehensive list! ❤
Good summary and I have done all of those things and enjoyed your take on them all. A few others include Mt Gravatt and the hikes there and to Griffith University. There are a few other good hikes including Mt Petrie, Mt Cotton, Belmont Hills and Chermside. Also hikes around Gold Creek reservoir and Lake Manchester. Riverside areas worth visiting include Brisbane Powerhouse and New Farm, Seventeen Mile Rocks riverside Park and College's Crossing, not to forget the Boondall Wetlands on the Bay. Also in the near future we will have the Queens Wharf precinct development which looks amazing, plus the new bridge connecting Kangaroo Point and the City Botanic Gardens. We are also lucky to have quick access to the scenic rim areas, where they are many quaint and interesting little towns, mountains to climb, and other areas such as Lake Moogerah and Lake Wyaralong.
Hi there - Appreciate the comment and thanks a bunch for all these brilliant suggestions. There are a few I've done but didn't get it filmed to add into this video and while I like the hikes, I try to add variety to my options. I will look forward to the new Queens Wharf precinct and also the new bridge on the other side. Hopefully they will be finished soon, although I think the bridge connecting Queens Wharf and Southbank is a bit of an eyesore...LOL Apart from that, your Lake Moogerah and Wyaralong and scenic rim areas are more "Day trips from Brisbane" - I have a separate video on those and after filming more of them, I'll include in an updated video 😀
Very good video! Heaps of stuff other videos dont have! First video of these type that ive actually left a like. I wish you had one for every country 😅
It's comments like these that make me do more videos 💖💖...your awesome and appreciate the like 😁 I am 37 countries down but mostly done before I started filming... I'll get to more eventually 😁👍🏝 Happy travels
@@AquariusTraveller great thai food especially. The papaya salads are divine! The market can be a bit hectic, but you can always take your food to go and have a picnic next door in Karawatha state forest, across the train tracks.
Thanks for your feedback and glad you liked it. I've had other content in the past mentioning South Brisbane and yes, While it is actually South Brisbane, mentioning it seems to confuse first -time tourists. Truthfully, I can't seem to win either way HAHA
I have the video linked in the description ua-cam.com/video/vVPyHH9EC9Q/v-deo.html This will detail how to get around Brisbane using the public Transport, including the Neuron scooters
Hey as a 25 year old single female im torn if to move to SC or Brisbane as have job offers in both! I love nature and worried i wont get that in brise with no beaches
If you love nature and have job offers in both then I would love to the sunshine coast. I miss the beaches here and have to travel an hour to get to one... with that said I do appreciate them more when I do see them 😁
@@TamaEnergy most the victorians will move to retire at all the qld beachy areas, Your going to get this everywhere, not just the Sunny coast. Although, depending where you hang out, you can find a younger crowd in some places. I've never really socialised as a younger person on the coast (I was more at the Goldy - lol), but Brisbane definitely has that scene in the city and fortitude valley.
Sounds sponsored by the government With a focus on spending money Also make sure to keep your phone gps speedometer in clear view when riding through the goodwill bridge or you'll find cops with speed cameras handing out fines to e-scooters and skateboards at the other end, lmao But i must admit, the video was great to watch regardless
HAHA, I wish - Definitely not sponsored, but I do live here and this footage has been taken in the last couple of years. To be honest, I'm not sure how long the Escooters etc are going to last. Every week you hear of another accident and after Melbourne has now banned them in the city, I'm sure others will follow suit!
Best thing to do is leave brisbane like i did and go to tasmania.. Brisbane is over priced and over populated with dirty recycled effluent drinking water..i know i lived there for 50 years..was good in 80s not anymore
The high housing costs are true, because everyone wants to live here, because you’re dead wrong about everything else. It’s the only country in the world that has more people from the US arriving here than vice versa. Because it has *real* freedom, not fake freedom.

Woodridge global food market is by far the best market in the Brisbane area. Worth a trip.
😁👍... I will check it out one day

Love Thai food 💖💖
Great video. You covered lots of things to do in Brissie. One minor point though, South Bank is not a suburb. South Bank in is South Brisbane.

how to use the scooters for foreigners? we are going to Brisbane travel from Taiwan.

What is the cathedral at 13:19?
@@JD-hi6tw it's the Albert Street uniting Church beside city hall... you can see it in view of the city hall tower tour we did 😀
What a great video!
@@gregrussell4459 glad you like it 😀👍
PS South Bank isn't a suburb. Its postcode area is South Brisbane or South Brisbane BC 4101
Your right, but most people think of it as a separate suburb - at least that's what it looks like when listed on a map :)

Would street beach be open right now? or is it too cold?
Open all year round but you'll find less people in there after it cools down a bit.

That wading saltwater pool should be changed into a saltwater lap pool with lane ropes - for swimmers who don't like swimming in chlorine pools.
Sounds like a great idea:)
Yay a real person and not AI 🎉
HAHA, yep that's my voice and face!
41 things to do escape!
I also have day trips from brissy 🤣

@@suntzuwarsword1964 Tasmania is a nice change in pace. I've done the overland track but need to do heaps more to explore the area 😀👍
Australia is a horrible country with no freedoms, everything is banned, very boring, high taxes, low salaries, huge housing costs, over reaching laws.
Valid on some points but more related on living than travel
