Plugged straight into my '66 Vibro Champ, dimed. I roll the volume back for cleans to start. Mic'd with a Beyerdynamic M201TG, out to SSL SiX, and into PC w/ MOTU M4.
Thanks! I really like the clarity and jangle of those Revtron pickups. They seem to take higher gain well too, which is surprising. Is there a big difference between the sound and ergonomics of the Warhawks versus the Flatroc guitars (also with Revtrons I believe)?
Sorry I never got to this. If they're the same pickups in each, the differences will really come down to the distance they are from the bridge and from each other. Do be wary though that Reverend discontinued the Revtron pickups in favor of the Retroblast, which are slightly different from what I have read (can't remember how). As far as ergonomics go, I personally prefer the Charger body type to the Jetstream (Flatroc being the Charger type), but that is just me.
