Property is looking better with every video. It is hard to believe how warm it is there. If you asked me a few months ago, I would have bet the lake would be frozen on New Years Day.
Climate change. Enjoy it while you can. I love watching you load the dump truck. You are so gentle when you tap the bushes & branches down. My 3yo gr8grandson loves excavators & monster trucks. Your son reminds me of him. Had I been born 20 yrs later, I would've loved to drive an assortment of heavy duty dirt movers for a living. Stay blessed & well my friend. Your land looks lovely 💙
Your videos are absolutely amazing, the cottage are going to be wonderful, great weather you have, we had a big snowstorm yesterday, it came over 30 cm of snow, and there going to snow even more tomorrow,,and it is minus 10 degree Celsius, wish you and your family a great day my friend 😊👍🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
So beautiful and serine...your doing a great job of clean up and back filling..you will need a riding mower...for all that, do your homework on model and type...I've so enjoyed the progress you've made...and to see the lake so calm and peaceful..is beautiful...Thank you...and enjoy getting your little man!
I think you are a one man workforce! You are doing an exceptional job. I personally see your vision for this property. I am a nature hound, and what you are doing is grooming mother nature so her beauty shines! Just discovered your videos and I am hooked on following your progress. God Bless!
Glad I discovered your channel. Beautiful country and your journey. Nice speaking voice pace. Your generation following your dreams in homesteading and property ownership
That was some pretty good stick handling at 14:40 Sid Crosby would have been proud of that, to the young fella who has been hired on, do yourself a favor young man, work your cheeks off with this family and you won't be disappointed, the property is looking great, keep up the good work son.
You have some skills for sure. Nice you gave a young man an opportunity to learn. Place looks very nice now and look forward to seeing it this summer. The walkways - that had to take some doing. Great you have them in place
Love what you're doing. It's only a dream for my wife and I but we do live in thee county of Cornwall England very small fishing village of the southwestern coast of Cornwall I will follow you all the way through to throu to the end .Good luck to you and your family .Steve t. Uk 😊
your an amazing equipment operator, your ambition and drive will repay you one day. I love your property although I'm not a cold climate person, I moved south at 27 yrs. old. I'm happy that you have a young man that has a work ethic and drive to learn. I'm sure that he will be successful with your guidance..
Looking really good mate just enough trees 🌲 left behind and all the rubbish cleaned up. Once you get it final trimmed and grass going it’s going to look awesome
Good video brother. I can see your plan coming together. Selective cutting/ thinning is necessary to let the younger trees and plants to grow strong and healthy.
Sir, Are you aware that you are educating the nay sayers about land husbandry? At 79, I am saying to myself the exact words you are, just before you do. Life experiences on my part. Though repeats from you are FUN! And yes, I ask what may seem odd or laughable questions that are what I am interested in learning. Thanks for listening. Judy
I love this property. It is absolutely gorgeous and you are making it even more beautiful. Great work you have done!!! Love when you work on the cottage .👍
In my opinion I have several maples and they are not a sturdy tree always loosing limbs and crashing down.. but looks good what your doing keep on man look forward to seeing more on this cottage
I admire your tenacity and strong work ethic how you tackle a job. You are a wonderful example for your little man. Thank you for videoing your work. Someday youll look back and ask yourself, how did I do all that. Sheer determination. Watching from Sarasota, Fl
WOW! You are going to have some wonderful views. I’d sell the 2 story ‘Home”, and keep this place for your Nervana, a place to unwind when “life” rears its ugly head. If you rent it out, it will be unusable for your family, I think you’ll regret it, people are not like they were when I was growing up. If it was me,I’d make this place mine exclusively❤❤, and not have to baby sit the stupid,or run around checking things before they leave! It’s just a supreme hassle that will drive you NUTS! My friend, your hard work here, is worth so much more, point is, you have sweat equity, renters DON’T!
I mean, I think of You/Mom/Bauer Fishing,Skating ,swimming, you could build a big deck, suitable to tie up,a couple of boats,(Maybe a Pontoon for family fishing),and when he gets older,a small boat for Bauer with motor,so he can fish all summer. This place is a family resort, that the average people ,are not capable of operating all the gadgetry for lights, power for well, like you can. Most have water, gas, sewer ! just me Thinking, cause I’ve been there/done that!🤔
Being able to see the walkways from any direction is a safety factor, in addition to the view. I like to see where I am walking to and through. Is this area a sort of swamp? Will you try to dry it out, not necessarily drain? Just add fill? Thanks.
It does look like an awful lot of work, maybe you should give yourself a raise. You're very lucky to find a 19-year-old that's willing to work. That should be a big help for you.
I think about that all the time Just where has the time gone ? I m 62 years old now Amazing weather for new year s day What new year was it if i may ask ?
Great quality video. As a forest Technician I really appreciate your knowledge and skill around the trees. The quality of this and the views in your intro are great. New gopro?
@@workplaytv you put a lot of logs in the truck and when George Washington was with Colonel Braddock on the way to fort Duquesne they built a corduroy road in the wilderness out of logs it was better than marching through muddy terrain you lay down the logs and build a temporary road so you don't have to walk or drive through mud
Love the videos first off. and i am getting them all. Second, why not burry all the rocks that you had piled in the wet areas then cover with fill rather then dispose of the rocks. I am NOT skeptical that the ground that you filled in will harden and i have done it myself. and I know what this is costing you now to do with all your own stuff and it would be 30-40 times that amount if not more. I May be interested to come up and rent it for a few days. We are people persons but 2 or 3 days there might be good for the wife and I..
@@workplaytv Mid video then driving up with the sterling on the pass side was a pile of rocks and it sounded like you said you had to get rid of the rocks and clean that up
That's a lot more open than I was expecting. The finish may be exceptional.

Once you get that level the way you want and cover it with grass it's going to look like a park with a forest in it. 👍
I love how you snatch those stumps out like wet rags!!

No it’s actually still the same one
I was thinking you could have saved those logs and made a corduroy road along side the water area.
