Comments like this annoy me. Why does everyone think that we must be rich if we own an airplane or go on vacation. Kay is a hard working individual who’s passionate about what she does. That’s how she can afford to enjoy herself. When you love what you do you put your heart and soul into it you will not fail. Nothing was handed to her on a silver platter nor me for that matter. Find and do what you love, work hard at it and always prioritize personal growth and set and achieve goals. That’s exactly how Kay got to where she is today. Kay is a flight instructor. She was previously a server. She had a dream and set goals and worked hard towards achieving them. The new senica she just bought is not an expense. It’s an investment as she will be able to further continue her flight training as an instructor. She can train multi engine, commercial, complex, high performance endorsements with that plane where as lil red she could only do single engine land. So that was a smart business move for her. Of course she’s not here explaining this because she doesn’t owe it to you or anyone. Define rich anyway? Who’s to say one is or isn’t rich. Depends on who you ask. Some may consider me rich. Others may consider me poor. I’m not trying to come off with an attitude. Demeanor is lost in text. It just bothers me that people outside aviation think you have to be rich to own an airplane. Granted it’s not what it used to be. Things are crazy expensive. But it’s not unobtainable. You can get an airplane for the cost of an avg car. Sure you can spend infinite too. Me, Kay and thousands others. We’re bottom feeders in aviation. lol. No disrespect Kay if you’re reading this. But that’s the beauty of aviation. I could be fueling up my little 172 and talking with the guy filling his 5 mil dollar king air and we’re family at the end of the day. So yes of course aviation can be for the elite, rich, wealthy , posh, or whatever other term you’d like to use, but it’s not just for the elite.
