- I love the HomePod and use them everyday. Today I picked up the new Orange HomePod mini and I love the color of the new HomePods.

How many HomePods do you own?
I’m up to three. Two OG HomePods and one mini. I will get more especially when Apple re introduces the updated big HomePod.
I have echos everywhere but thinking of getting a HomePod mini for podcasts and some of the features from my iPhone on a speaker hands free.
Awesome, I've never used the echo, but highly recommend the HomePods keeping things in the echo system is just awesome.
hey i have a question, is there any delay when using the homepod for watching youtube or zoom or even just using it as a bluetooth speaker for apps like netflix and tiktok? btw im asking for all apple devices (iphone ipad mac)
There’s not a delay in the audio when listening. But on the Mac when you pause the video/audio source there is a delay before it stops. Which drives me crazy.
I have 4 HomePod minis and really enjoy them. I use 2 whites with my Apple TV as a stereo pair and I orange in the den and a black one in the kitchen. The sound is great for the size of the speaker and the intercom feature is great.
So awesome. How well do the two work as speakers for the TV I’ve been tempted to try that out.

Yeah I have 2 of the originals. I hope they bring a larger one back someday.
Looks like that light in te back is a Lyra, could you say how did you integrated on HomeKit?
I had it on a smart plug. But now I have it setup with shortcuts. They also provide an API so I wrote some PHP to trigger it from the light switch too.
I only have the “OG” HomePod and it’s amazing; obviously as a speaker (I’m a music nut). Even though I’m living in a rather small apartment I use HomeKit everyday, it’s simply great.
One thing that makes me scratch my head, when I’m upstairs and not always but often I ask for something and the HomePod downstairs responds 🤯.
Great video, been thinking of getting a Mini for upstairs -mostly for music.
Lastly, if not already please ask Siri to beatbox ;-}
I’ve never tried the beatbox thing. That is amazing.
Can they be used in a home garage?
Yeah as long as your Wi-Fi reaches out there. I have Wi-Fi extenders and have used them in my detached garage before.
I don’t know if this is true, but I saw another HomePod video that said if you go over 6 HomePods on the same network they won’t work correctly. Just starting my HomeKit, but have been all Apple for years.
That’s not true. I only have 5 but I know others that have at least that many with no issue.
I have a mini but i prefer the OG original one as the sound is much better !

Too many skills available for Alexa that blows HomePod away. I’m all Apple but Alexa echo dots work much better imo I would love to switch but can’t control home accessories like I can with dots.
Yeah all my accessories are HomeKit. Usually the plugs and switches are a little extra but worth it to stay away Alexa in my opinion.
@@TheAppleBias can’t control XM - garage door - Xbox - ring Video etc with HomePod. Alexa go look how many skills they offer. Just blows me away that Apple can’t offer these. I have 4 echos in my house and they work flawlessly. Dot with clock is awesome feature also. HomePod mini no clock
There are some garage doors that you can control with HomePod. It’s all based on what you buy the stuff for. Alexa does have more cause Apple is a little more cautions with security with things so companies have to go through extra hoops to get HomeKit enabled.
