i know right? Also i was seeing Rebel near shadow and they werent even doing or TRYING to interact, i’ve been waiting for the scene and it never happened.
It was good but the writing got a little bad at the end. That fight with Nine was so long, they never explored the idea of the prime characters meeting the other versions of themselves, the chaos council could have been a bit more threatening, and Shadow and Rouge interacted very little, it was unclear why she was on Sonic's team now. But it did have lots of cool ideas and I'm not a sonadow shipper but I love the show was screaming WHAT UP SONADOW FANS WE KNOW YOU EXIST! And Nine is one of my favorite Sonic villains.
Well, the director of the show actually posted a tweet online saying that the cliffhanger ending always means that Sonic and his friends are off on their next adventure, and whatever the threat that they'll be facing they'll be ready for anything to take it on.
I love Sonic snd Shadow relationships in Sonic Prime. Just Finally! They are Not just rivals or, I dunno, They don't hate each other. I'm tired of the thing, that they're only rivals, because No, they're still friends and they care for each other and help each other. Idk but I could see that Shadow was so comfortable with Sonic, mostly then they were alone. The way how they act together, how the joking around sometimes.. I'M SORRY, I just love them so much I'm gonna cry! And I'm absolutely agree about the animation part. Animation style is on high. It feels so fresh just to look at it... I would eat it. But even with such nice animation style designs, storyline, characters all fights were just.. boring... The end and 3rd season was a little disappointing.. but I think it's still a pretty good show. It's just feels like unfinished or finished not in a right way BTW! Thanks for such a nice and comfortable video! You're art is Amazing! Like a official poster! Just wow :3
You're not alone on the Sonic and Shadow thing mate, I DEFINITELY agree! I love when they show the depth of their relationship, which hasn't happened much aside from Prime. Sonadow or not, its still awesome. I can agree with the sentiment of the third season, sadly. They dragged the fight scene too long. But the good outweighs the bad for me. Also, thank you for the kind words! :D
Sonic’s character was debatable in this show but we can all agree Shadow’s character was peak for this show and for a modern day Shadow who hasn’t been written very well (looking at u BOOM Shadow). Also I knew I recognized your art style from somewhere on tumblr
I completely see where you're coming from with regard to Shadow, but I personally didn't see that as Sonic being foolish, it was Sonic and Shadow both coming from partially right and wrong places. Shadow makes the claim that Nine can't be trust on the grounds that he's inherently untrustworthy and shouldn't be given information about the shards. Sonic has personally seen Nine stick his neck out for him multiple times by this point. He's listened to Nine's insecurities and trauma, knows that Nine built him some tech to control his energy (when pretty much every other shatterverse counterpart immediately tries to use Sonic--Nine is one of the only ones to ever do something for him instead), and he knows that Nine wanted to share his dream of a safe new home with Sonic. Later after that point, the entire fight with Chaos Sonic helps communicate to the viewer that Nine genuinely cares about Sonic and was so upset with himself because he inadvertently unleashed Chaos Sonic on him. That's also why Shadow didn't understand Nine's actual motivations in Season 3--Sonic is the only one who knows and cares why Nine is acting the way he is and why he's able to constantly tear down the image Nine is trying to put up of himself. Meanwhile, Shadow also incorrectly assumes that the ghost versions of their GH friends are just fakes made to torture them emotionally (when in reality those are their real friends as Sonic discovers later), he incorrectly assumes the tech is what lets you travel between shatterspaces, and he also doesn't see the other shatterverse counterparts as equals while Sonic does. Sonic's biggest issue is that he's projecting his relationships onto what are effectively strangers. He does genuinely care about their problems and wants to help them, but Shadow is part right in that Nine isn't Tails and he's projecting. We ended up with a situation where between Sonic, Shadow, and Nine all of them are partially right and wrong for different reasons and all three of them coming in with some incorrect assumptions about their situation. As I saw it, I didn't feel Sonic was out of character. He wasn't some mindless fool who should have never trusted Nine because Nine didn't turn on him because he's inherently untrustworthy. The problem was always that Sonic wasn't communicating his feelings and intentions properly since he and Nine never get breathing room to sit down and talk about what they want and both of them assume the other will just go along with their idea. He needs to slow down a bit. He genuinely cared about Nine but still unintentionally hurt him because of his own grief. Nine felt that the only person who has ever shown him any kind of love was just projecting someone else entirely onto him and never cared about him. In episode 6 Nine tells Sonic he wants to turn the Grim into a home for the two of them and Sonic doesn't explicitly say no, but he doesn't actually address anything by this point. It's not a knock on Sonic because this also happened right in the middle of other people fighting for their lives, so Sonic was focused on wanting to help them. Throughout the show, they're separated for most of season 2 with Nine under surveillance and not able to talk. When they reunite, they're under attack for about two whole episodes, so it makes sense why they're not communicating with each other. The first episode is one of the only times the two are together and get to talk without a threat over their heads. In the episode right before Nine's turning, Sonic had a brief moment where he saw his friends come back, which from his perspective confirmed that it's possible to restore his friends/home and also have the other counterparts co-exist, which is why he was so excited that it confirmed his plan to restore his home and take Nine with him would work. Nobody but Sonic saw that. So Shadow, who hasn't been going around in the other shatterspaces, is also coming from limited and incorrect information in how he just assumes those were "fakes." Nine is also partially incorrect in how he pieces together the fact that he's likely a counterpart that could be erased if they restore Green Hill from his reactions to his shatter-brothers and he even brings it up to Sonic. Sonic is also hurting himself because of the loss of his home and knowing it was his actions that caused it, so while he cares so sooo much about Nine, probably more than he cares about any of the other shatterverse counterparts who at least have homes and friends/family to rely on, he also is coming in a place of hurt himself in how he inadvertently hurts Nine. I agree that the series has its share of downsides, but I enjoy how they have a really good handle on having the character's motivations make sense with the knowledge that they have and how well the animation is used to communicate extra details about the characters and their motivations. Nine in particular is such an open book from a character design and animation standpoint--they did such a great job with him. Also love your art in the video! Sorry for the novel but it's been on my mind lately with some of the discussions of the series.
That's a very interesting take you have! I hadn't thought of it, though it makes a lot of sense, though sadly I think that that message was kind of lost in the execution in S3. Which is such a bummer because that could've been a very satisfactory and deep ending for this series, and may give a lot of sense on the characterisation on Sonic. Dang. Also Thank you for the kind words!
For your second point about Shadow. If when he attempted to enter one of the shatter spaces he accidentally created variants of himself, I'd imagine one of them confront Shadow about the variants being fake.
I rushed to watch the series when I heard TOME's Rockoon was voice acting Sonic. I was so shocked that Deven Mack had gotten to play such a big role. I remember watching TOME when I was young so it was amazing to hear him play Sonic. I did like how he played Chaos Sonic too, wish we got more from that robotic Sonic, a metal Sonic who can sass back was fun to watch
He did absolutely great in Sonic Prime! I actually just met him at Sonic Symphony last weekend and he has a great personality too! Humble and so friendly! I just hope they do another season of Prime or maybe a spinoff. It would be nice to hear him as Sonic once again!
I do care if people hate the show. All i know is the people who like and love the show. I really like the Sonic voice act ( not because his name Devon with in I, and does a Jaleel White and Roger Crag Smith impressions combined) he's pretty good. Plus the team behind the show Man of Action the do make Ultimate shows.
I don't hate the show, but it didn't get me invested at all. I facepalmed and got angry watching Sonic X and Sonic SatAM, but Prime was just boring to me. And if the show is boring it's much worse than if it made me angry.
5:08 Personally, I was more with Sonic on Shadow’s opinions on Nine, as I expected Nine to just become a better character at the end. The story to me didn’t make me feel like Nine was going to be the main villain until it happened at the end. And Shadow is weirdly just not trusting for no reason.
Sonic: The clumsy kid who doesn't listen to anyone (probably watched too many superhero cartoons) Nine: The 'emo' kid who is very evil and edgy (probably read too many fanfics) The Dead: The selfish kid who likes SHinY (probably played too many pirate games) Thorn Rose: The angry kid who gets pissed off if you destroy anything (doesn't like sharing) Rebel: The smart kid who likes to get pissed off (except Knux) The Chaos Council: The chaotic family/sibling twins squad (yes, I think of them like siblings) Shadow: The parent who has to deal with their shit (literally)
As someone who is a relatively new sonic fan (I started rly getting into it a few months ago after finally beating the one game I had as a kid) I rly enjoyed it, my main issue was definitely the fight scene in s3, but also a lot of the fight scenes in general. They got weirdly boring sometimes ?? Idk how they made the fight scenes out of everything the more boring parts but 🤷♀️ I loved the show as a whole regardless tho 👍
I really enjoyed Sonic Prime! The animation was amazing and for the most part the story was enjoyable. I really liked the character interactions. But yeah, Sonic was really…childish? Maybe that’s not the right word, but you get my point. But anyway, there are so many fanfic opportunities for this series i’m literally going insane. My google docs is going to implode 😭😭 Loved this video!! Can’t wait to see what else you have in store!
First, second and the first three episodes of the third serie of SP were fine to me. My favourite episodes are the first episode, where Sonic destroys the prysm, the foruth episode (I think), Sonic facing babble for the second time, the two introspective episodes involving Shadow and the two episodes where Sonic fought Chaos Sonic. Overall i liked the whole serie, and surprisling, I didn't find any character annoying. Not even Chaos Sonic. Of course i have my preferences. Sonic and Shadow are a duo, technically. I love them both, especially when togheter, they're my favourite of the show (is also one of the rare times Shadow is likeable. The last time he was a likeable character before tMoStH where he goes all mysterious only to discover it was just to hide his birthday gift to Amy, was in Sonic 2006). Although many hate the goofy Sonic, I loved him. Prime Sonic is outgoing, blubby, gentle... and sombre, despite his cheerful facade. But I noticed I have a tendency to love character that are deemed annoying by most. The smear frame are typical of 2D animation. That was smart from the animator. Recently 3D and 2D style of animation are mixed togheter more and more. The character design is lovely to me. I saw elements of classic Sonic in the way their face are portrayed, they're hedgehogs but their round head/faces resemble a lot those of young kittens. Their ears also emote and move like those of cats. I don't remember real hedgehogs have mobile/expressive ears (in videos about hedegehogs their ears appear immobile). Sonic's eyes are gentler compared to those you see in game design. Shadow got a sharper and darker gaze and a sinister smile that hide his good nature. Now the problematic episodes. 3 episodes of battle, the main flaw is that we were able to see them in a row and this makes the longer battle jarring. After seeing one of those episode at times, I didn't found them that bad. After all, is decades anime show even longer battle episodes, like the battle between Goku and Frieza in dragon Ball... that I saw in a row. How many hours it was? Three and half hours? It was never ending. But the episodes were shown day by day, so nobody noticed. I believe Sonic brime needed some 4 more episdes toward the end. Not battle episodes of course or mayve even the battle episodes slowed down? One thing I noticed is Shadow being fine around Sonic, rather friendly toward Rebel, socially awkward and reclusive toward Nine and the Roses and most likely the rest of the crew. Rebel also was the one who worried for Shadow's fate when the prysm would have been restored, so somewhere that wasn't shown, Shadow and Rebel started to get along (Most likely Rebel dragged Shadow in her circle until he relaxed around her). I overall liked the final episode where Sonic is sick, but the end could be settled more in dept. I'm fine about not seeing what happens to the shatterspaces, but to understand what's going on you have to listen carefully. But again, this may be an issue related to the fact that you can watch all episodes in a row rather than one at day. Things might be different this way (lats time i watched the last episodes after a while I piched up things that I didn't notice before).
Amateur animator here- Smear frames make ALL the difference. Compare the animation in Shadow the Hedgehog's pre-rendered cutscenes and the in-engine cutscenes + gameplay. While the animation is super smooth in both, the more low poly models have squash and stretch that make Shadow's movements much more dynamic, while the more detailed models rely on adding more movements (quills moving, spinning, etc) to make animation seem more fluid. It's why Shadow jumping out of a spin is so smooth, but there's so much going on in the opening cutscene to hide Shadow's more relaxed and non-expressive movement. Sonic Prime did a fantastic job with its bouncy movement. It sucks that I don't see many people talking about how good the toony animation is in comparison to "haha smear frames funny".
The issue for me is that **Shadow** has lack of care for the others, other than **Sonic**, okay, **Big** is not the type **Shadow** would care about, he beats **Tails** usually in the series so the hate towards **Nine** is understandable in more ways than one, **Knuckles** gave him a fight he had to take off his rings to fight him but with **Amy** and mostly **Rouge** it's odd, since **Amy** was the one who changed his mind in **Sonic Adventure 2** and **Rouge** is literally his teammate along with **Omega,** who wasnt even included. **Rouge** is someone who **Shadow** would care about but **Shadow** from **Sonic Prime** just doesnt give two hecks about what happens to anyone aside **Sonic,** although they are different versions the other cast, it's still... seperate personality of theirs. In the games and comics, **Shadow** cares about everyone although he doesnt show it and sometimes got beef, I feel like **Shadow,** just exists in **Sonic Prime** for more fans to come in, he is only information center for Sonic aswell as getting little few fight scenes that still look good i admit, the show makes **Shadow** say: "Your friends" at one point or something similiar although it isnt true, since when was **Rouge** closer to **Sonic** than **Shadow,** **Rouge** is the person who understands him the most and hangs around with, **Omega** is also a value, **Sonic prime** makes him emotionless towards the others. **TMOSTH** and **Sonic X Shadow Generations dark beginings** and even **IDW** handles his personality better. **TMOSTH Shadow** hasnt gotten a gift for **Amy** yet during the game, he tries to hide it and knows **Amy's** favourite band that sells tickets for a concert that **Amy** has never been in, so he tries to get it at the last second, trying to keep **Amy** away at the process, another thing is that he cares to even come to the party. **Sonic X Shadow Generations Dark beginnings, Shadow** has teamed-up with **Rouge** and **Omega,** they have great interactions and **Rouge** promises to help **Shadow** if he comes to **Sonic's** birthday party, **Rouge** trusts **Shadow** and **Shadow** trusts her. **Rouge** was the one to get him to come, it was not because of **Sonic,** it was because of **Rouge.** In **IDW, Shadow** teams up with **Sonic, Knuckles** AND **the other team-members in the resistence like Amy, Tails, Rouge, Whisper, Tangle, Silver and Blaze,** fighting along and **Shadow** ONCE AGAIN has interactions with the others characters and **Rouge,** mostly. **Sonic,** isnt afraid to call **Shadow** out when he wants to destroy **Eggman,** that **Shadow** wanted to destroy the world once, wanted to destroy him, reminding him that **Shadow** wasnt better in the past, since **Eggman** "changed", **Sonic** asks the question. "So what? You want me to take you out with **Eggman?** After all, if he cant be forgiven, can you?" **Shadow** stops, he was forgiven by the other cast, but since he didnt want to back down and wanted to take down **Eggman** for bad things he had done, **Sonic** wouldnt hesitate on taking down **Shadow** with **Eggman** because both of them almost caused destruction and tried to get rid of him. Also **Rouge** respects **Shadow,** she doesnt stop him if he wants to do something, she knows that what **Shadow** wants to do, he wont stop at his goal unless someone changes his mind. The worst part is, **Sonic Prime** considers itself "canon" but they are making **Shadow** a edgy loner that doesnt know anything else than **Sonic**, it's like: **any other character:** "Hey **Shadow!** " **Shadow:** **Ghosts them.** **Sonic:** "Hey there **Shadow!** " **Shadow:** "**S O N I C.** WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO, also are you alright." Dont get me wrong, I like **Shadow** caring about **Sonic** and **Sonic** caring about **Shadow** but **SHADOW** CARES ONLY ABOUT **SONIC** IN THERE. **Shadow** might be cool with personality but there are no interactions, no emotions towards others, not wanting them back, only the world and everything he does, is practically useless that wouldnt change anything if he wasnt there. Like I said, he's just an information center for **Sonic** and even if he says something, **Sonic** doesnt take his word, the thing about **Shadow**, he is literally supposed to be the same still, the other characters aside **Sonic** not because it affected them. **Shadow's** fight scenes are cool but barely do anything, he damages the councel boat, they still get to their destination, he fights **Sonic** just to figure out he cant go anywhere else anyways, he fights off **Nine's** army, just like any other side character. The only thing, he truly knows, is that something is fishy about **Nine, Sonic** doesnt believe **Shadow**, which is again, just pointless and turns into "I told you so". If **Shadow** wasnt there, **Sonic** would believe **Nine** and he would betray him, tadaa, same out come just without the "I told you so" part. I love **Shadow** as a character and the others, but adding him only for marketing and to show him off, yet not giving him a major role, personality other than **"SONIC"** and making him only a side-character to support **Sonic** feels just wrong. **Sonic X Generation** did the same thing, he could have turned into **Super Shadow** along with **Silver** to help **Classic and Modern Sonic** to save the world but they were only on the side, but **Sonic X Shadow Generations dark beginning** is giving **Shadow** justice now, cant say the same for **Silver** tho. Doing **Shadow** dirty like that is just as bad or even worse than making **Sonic** ignorant when his friends tell him not do something, with **Sonic** it isnt as bad because he was wreckless in the past, but **Shadow** had **Rouge** by his side from **Sonic Adventure 2** till now. Cant complain about the other characters because the point of the **Sonic prime** is that **Sonic** didnt exist in any of the alternatives, the clearest being the one where **Eggman** takes the world over. **Tails** doesnt get saved by **Sonic** in **Sonic 2** and never meets him and when noone helps, you gotta survive on you own. **Amy** doesnt get saved by **Sonic** in **Sonic CD** so when she get captured there is noone to save her from Eggman turning her into **Rusty**. **Rouge** along with **Knuckles** want Green hills back, **Rouge** never meets **Shadow** and **Knuckles** cant really be manipulated by the act that "**Sonic** wants to steal the master emerald" because **Sonic** doesnt exist, meaning **Sonic 3 Sonic and Knuckles**, doesnt exist. **Metal Sonic**, is not **Metal Sonic** because **Metal Sonic** was supposed to be directly **Sonic's** copy and match his abilities but since **Sonic** didnt exist, he made **"Chaos Sonic."** But **Sonic and Shadow** were supposed to be the same if it's "canon", at least **Sonic** is shown to care and think of his friends highly. This is my biggest issue with **Sonic Prime** and my opinion.
The ultimate problem with Sonic Prime is that it’s so torn between being canon-adherent and canon-adjacent that it ends up failing to be either. It can’t be canon because of Sonic’s character inconsistencies, the oddities within the flashbacks, and Rouge suddenly being super chill with the S/T/K/A bunch, but it’s so close to the canon universe otherwise that it makes the slip-ups more baffling. I want to love a lot of the ideas the show is proposing, but it’s ultimately just a pretty show with good voice acting and really solid animation but decidedly poor writing.
Great video! Cool to see someone else who liked Sonic Prime as well as I did. Though from reading the comments, I can see why the show was underwhelming to a lot of people. There were for sure moments I wished went a different way or were explored more on. But I loved it! As a new Sonic fan, it's the first Sonic show I've seen in full. (I have yet to watch Sonic X) The animation is spectacular, and I personally really enjoyed the fighting scenes. Especially the ones including Rusty Rose! Her animation is so cool and robotic, it's awesome! The scenes between Sonic and Shadow were some of my favorite moments. Their banter was funny when they teamed up together, it was different from their usual rivalry which was cool. And I liked seeing Shadow actually care about Sonic on the last episode when he seemingly dropped dead after his energy was drained from him and put into the prism. SPEAKING OF! I don't know why but, I love scenes in shows where the hero or main character is defeated, hurt, or nearly dead after fighting/holding out for so long. Probably to get the chance to see how others react when the hero is down. But anyway, the last episode when Sonic nearly disappears at the end, seeing everyone come together to get him back home in time, Sonic waning by the minute yet still wanting to thank his friends, Shadow carrying him the rest of the way telling him to hold on. It just checks a lot of boxes for me personally! Though I feel like they could've drawn out the scene after all that happened a bit more? Where he realizes his friends are finally back, I think having him in disbelief for a moment instead of immediately running to each of them making quips so casually like; "How's it going bud? You wouldn't believe the day I had!" and not "I...I thought I almost lost you guys!". Nothing sadder than they've done before since it's meant for kids, just something more than Sonic being hyped he's back right away. But yeah, super cool show I enjoyed! Glad I procrastinated on watching for so long, got to basically binge it the whole way through to the end. Thanks for making this video and letting me have the opportunity to rant about Sonic Prime haha. Love the speedpaint throughout the video with your sprite in the corner drawing! Reminds me of GinjaninjaOwO's videos. (Also your stickers on the drawing tablet, very nice👍)
Hey welcome to starting UA-cam and awesome your a Sonic fan since ive been a fan of him for years! 😁 Also i like Sonic Prime too i thought it was a Good show for what it is and love Each rooms f the different characters special traits and personality the show wasn't 100 percent for me perfect as Sonic X is but still a show ror what it was i even love collecting blind bag figures related to Sonic Prime as well too! Also your drawings are awesome too! 😁
Sonic Prime as a Show is a decent show but after season 3 felt like its momentum kinda dwindled down a bit at least for me even its ending had me confused i had more questions than answers and I did not like sonic in the show he is too idiotic and stupid for the sake of being stupid, shadow's character is written well but his execution to the plot felt mishandled i get its a kids show but i do believe kids deserve good writing shows like avatar the last airbender, original ben 10, etc have good writing in there shows that still holds up till this day
Okay but did anyone pick up the fact that the new yoke map is almost the same as the map in that one sonic game I don't remember what it's called though
I'm offended the show didn't use the potential of the multiverse. The Sonic while not as annoying as SatAM Sonic is still a pain in the ass, the worlds are boring, everyone beside Nine and Shadow is flat and uninteresting and the finale season just sucks. Not only the writers turned Nine from villian to wimp, but the "war" is just as lame as battle scene in Sonic Forces. Oh, and the infuriating "canon" mark on the show, Sonic doesn't have canon now despite how much everybody including Sega screams IDW comics and Prime are canon. Prime is just another side product and it's just as valuable to game franchise as Sonic Manga or Adventures of Sonic. If you want real Sonic multiverse project just check out and wait for Sonic Villians fan film
For me, the reason why I dislike Sonic Prime so much is the writing. And it's frustrating because I can see so much potential in this show but it all just gets completely wasted by the end. I honestly agreed with most of what you said about the animation, the voice cast, and the art direction but I just find the writing to be so abismall; The pacing, characters, underdeveloped themes, lack of expansion to the worlds, it all feels amateurish to me. But ay if like it then props to you 👍
The ending was genuinely horrible. There was no closure at all for any of the other characters or wherever they went, it was very rushed. Everything but season 3 was fine!!
OMG HI AKARI-san!! Yur representing the Mexican folkkkss lik me :3!! Sonic Prime fue extraño pero una bendición en disfraz. No tan tan tan como X pero ehh, chido 😎
You should definitely cover Sonic Boom in the future. Both the games and the show are underrated. The concept art of it is very cool. It had a lot of potential.
5:48 yeah, Shadow and Rouge were great... EXCEPT THAT THEY NEVER INTERACTED!
i know right? Also i was seeing Rebel near shadow and they werent even doing or TRYING to interact, i’ve been waiting for the scene and it never happened.
Yeah
yeah, they only had a little talk in the last episode and nothing else! I wanted to see more of them
It was good but the writing got a little bad at the end. That fight with Nine was so long, they never explored the idea of the prime characters meeting the other versions of themselves, the chaos council could have been a bit more threatening, and Shadow and Rouge interacted very little, it was unclear why she was on Sonic's team now. Yeah! Nine was very well written imo
I LOVE Sonic Prime, but the cliffhanger at the end was kinda confusing
Ngl it kinda reminds me of that Astro boy movie, the cgi one
Well, the director of the show actually posted a tweet online saying that the cliffhanger ending always means that Sonic and his friends are off on their next adventure, and whatever the threat that they'll be facing they'll be ready for anything to take it on.
@@boltthelunarian1405 i know that, it was still kinda disapointing lol

You're not alone on the Sonic and Shadow thing mate, I DEFINITELY agree! I love when they show the depth of their relationship, which hasn't happened much aside from Prime. Sonadow or not, its still awesome.

Hi fellow tumblr user! I like your shoelaces.
This show for me it's the best Sonic show ever idc if it's a kid show I love it my first favorite sonic show then X is second boom is third
I love Shadow character in Prime. I only wish that he was given more screen time with other characters other then sonic himself.

Sonic getting annoyed by a robotic himself is the peak of comedy ngl
He did absolutely great in Sonic Prime! I actually just met him at Sonic Symphony last weekend and he has a great personality too! Humble and so friendly! I just hope they do another season of Prime or maybe a spinoff. It would be nice to hear him as Sonic once again!
I love Sonic Prime, and I love your drawing of Nine in his sassy little pose, haha

Personally, I was more with Sonic on Shadow’s opinions on Nine, as I expected Nine to just become a better character at the end.
The story to me didn’t make me feel like Nine was going to be the main villain until it happened at the end. And Shadow is weirdly just not trusting for no reason.
Nice artwork of sonic prime
Yeah, i like Sonic Prime despite it's flaws.
I love the way you draw sonic characters
Sonic: The clumsy kid who doesn't listen to anyone (probably watched too many superhero cartoons)
Nine: The 'emo' kid who is very evil and edgy (probably read too many fanfics)
The Dead: The selfish kid who likes SHinY (probably played too many pirate games)
Thorn Rose: The angry kid who gets pissed off if you destroy anything (doesn't like sharing)
Rebel: The smart kid who likes to get pissed off (except Knux)
The Chaos Council: The chaotic family/sibling twins squad (yes, I think of them like siblings)
Shadow: The parent who has to deal with their shit (literally)
Shadow has to deal with feces?

I can see great things from this channel in the future
As someone who is a relatively new sonic fan (I started rly getting into it a few months ago after finally beating the one game I had as a kid) I rly enjoyed it, my main issue was definitely the fight scene in s3, but also a lot of the fight scenes in general. They got weirdly boring sometimes ?? Idk how they made the fight scenes out of everything the more boring parts but 🤷♀️ I loved the show as a whole regardless tho 👍
I love your art and your animations it's so cool
Keep up the good work Akari!
My google docs is going to implode 😭😭
Loved this video!! Can’t wait to see what else you have in store!
Careful everyone They're a hero! They're a fanfic writer, they carry the world on their shoulders!
Thank you for the kind words! >w
Yeah 😎
**Rouge** was the one to get him to come, it was not because of **Sonic,** it was because of **Rouge.**
In **IDW, Shadow** teams up with **Sonic, Knuckles** AND **the other team-members in the resistence like Amy, Tails, Rouge, Whisper, Tangle, Silver and Blaze,** fighting along and **Shadow** ONCE AGAIN has interactions with the others characters and **Rouge,** mostly.
The worst part is, **Sonic Prime** considers itself "canon" but they are making **Shadow** a edgy loner that doesnt know anything else than **Sonic**, it's like:
**any other character:** "Hey **Shadow!** "
**Shadow:** **Ghosts them.**
**Sonic:** "Hey there **Shadow!** "
**Shadow:** "**S O N I C.** WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO, also are you alright."
Dont get me wrong, I like **Shadow** caring about **Sonic** and **Sonic** caring about **Shadow** but **SHADOW** CARES ONLY ABOUT **SONIC** IN THERE.
**Metal Sonic**, is not **Metal Sonic** because **Metal Sonic** was supposed to be directly **Sonic's** copy and match his abilities but since **Sonic** didnt exist, he made **"Chaos Sonic."**
But **Sonic and Shadow** were supposed to be the same if it's "canon", at least **Sonic** is shown to care and think of his friends highly.

I’m gonna get a LOT of hate for this, but I honestly hate Sonic Prime. No offence
found this in my recommended and dude ur AWESOME! And u make great art!! :D
Thank you!! :D
Sonic Prime as a Show is a decent show but after season 3 felt like its momentum kinda dwindled down a bit at least for me
even its ending had me confused i had more questions than answers and I did not like sonic in the show he is too idiotic and stupid for the sake of being stupid, shadow's character is written well but his execution to the plot felt mishandled i get its a kids show but i do believe kids deserve good writing shows like avatar the last airbender, original ben 10, etc have good writing in there shows that still holds up till this day
Okay but did anyone pick up the fact that the new yoke map is almost the same as the map in that one sonic game I don't remember what it's called though
But ay if like it then props to you 👍
tu ingles es bastante fluido sigue asi
The ending was genuinely horrible. There was no closure at all for any of the other characters or wherever they went, it was very rushed. Everything but season 3 was fine!!

You should definitely cover Sonic Boom in the future. Both the games and the show are underrated. The concept art of it is very cool. It had a lot of potential.
Prime is kinda weird. A bit fanficky for my liking.
