I've built up a good set of Craftsman a few tools at a time. A lot of it came from Ebay, and a lot came from Sears/Kmart.
Craftsman is still available, but the warranty may be a bit iffy. The stores that now stock Craftsman will warranty a tool if it's the same item number as what they have in stock only. So the older Craftsman tools that are no longer made may not carry a warranty you can use to replace it any longer. Kind of a crock but Sears no longer exists where the warranty originated from. So one has to accept one may have to just buy the broken tool's replacement.
There were plans to build a new Craftsman manufacturing plant in Texas to bring the tools back to the U.S.A. but evidently those plans fell through and didn't happen. That's too bad.
