Installing over the tire tracks (OTT) on skid steer, watch to the end. It went bad!!

  • I installed over the tire tracks on my L781. It wasn't a bad job, would be easier with help. The track tried to come off during a test spin and bound up.
    The next day I tighten both sides up a link. Took the loader down in the woods and the other side track tried to come off. I'm so aggravated!
    Please comment with tips and advice!

    Let the air out of tires put them on as tight as u can and put air back in be carefull puting air back in

      I was thinking the same thing. Do you think the tight tracks would strain the axle bearings??

      Totally agree! They were locked from the inside. The older NHs had large pins that protruded out to prevent the arms from coming down. I should have mentioned that.

      I've thought more of your advice and I appreciate it. Usually accidents happen when we get rushed or distracted, like I was at that time. Even though the arms were locked, the loader was still running. I need to slow down and think before I exit a running loader. Thank you @robbobcat7286 for reminding me.
