Nice job!
Thank you for watching. I have definitely enjoy working with this old iron.
I was wondering if anyone could give me some info. But can you run a grapple on a l555 delux with the one line aux hose on the boom?
You have a supply and return lines, two lines. The grapple is a simple cylinder in/out motion. The right steer level push in or out changes the flow for the grapple to grip or release. So yes!
Watch my L781 video with the grapple. It's almost exactly the same as L555
Thanks for the quick response! I'm currently looking at a 87 l555 delux for my first skid steer. I only noticed one female fitting on the boom. Are you saying there should be another aux line close?
There should be both lines on each side of the boom.
I'm trying to add a picture but it wont let me.
Good video, i always love watching heavy equipment work. But wouldn't it be easier to just cut the tree down and then deal with the stump? I'm asking because I just bought a skid steer and was thinking of buying a stump bucket.
Pushing on the tree gives more leverage to break roots apart etc. If you cut the tree and try to dig the stump, it takes much more power and bigger equipment. Basically using gravity and leverage to do the job more efficiently.
Also thank you for the comment, I asked the same question long time ago. I found the answer on my first tree. Lol
Maybe Cessna citation
What aircraft is that?
I have no clue.
This is at st Martin
Yes it was.
It happens. Glad everyone is safe.
Yes, totally my fault but ended well.
Nice gravel job. Looks great

I agree and thank you!
Just curious. I have that much play in both of mine. 2015 JK on 37's. Chromoly axles and new axle bearings have a bout 60k on them now, but I get a slight ringing/ chirping sound at about 30 MPH. Removed rear driveshaft and still there so I am changing the axle bearings this weekend.....did you have any noise while driving ?
No, I didn't have any noise at all. I found my worn bearing doing maintenance on it.
Heck yeah!!
What a terrible operator...I sure as hell wouldnt treat my machine like that.
Sorry you feel that way. That old machine is engineered to work and does it well.
Needed to slightly wider around tree base roots are easier to cut
Great point, I will try that on my next tree. That does make perfect sense to clip the smaller diameter roots further out. Thanks for the observation!
Great job thanks 💐
Thank you very much. It was our first visit to the port since completion and wanted to show others. A significant upgrade compared to the old port.
Neat as heck. I like that
I'm going to build a larger one later. This was my first try at it.
Awesome
You can do anything with a skid steer and all the attachments that they have for them.
I really enjoy working on the loader. I'm going to get more attachments to do more stuff.
Get your head back in the window
Lol... lol
Good ole lob pine.
That’s what I’m talking about
Awesome
❤🎉
Let the air out of tires put them on as tight as u can and put air back in be carefull puting air back in
I was thinking the same thing. Do you think the tight tracks would strain the axle bearings??
God bless our mighty military
Amen!
First off stay out from under them bucket arms
Totally agree! They were locked from the inside. The older NHs had large pins that protruded out to prevent the arms from coming down. I should have mentioned that.
I've thought more of your advice and I appreciate it. Usually accidents happen when we get rushed or distracted, like I was at that time. Even though the arms were locked, the loader was still running. I need to slow down and think before I exit a running loader. Thank you @robbobcat7286 for reminding me.
God bless our men and women in uniform!
Amen! They are so brave!
Amen . they have a job ahead of them integrating with the NWO
That is a serious piece of hardware
Watching it gave me goosebumps!
If you guys think thats impressive, you should go check out one of the four Iowas; best looking warships in existence.
Oh I'm sure. The American military is nothing to laugh at.
@@ericerto8250 if you look up Iowa class battleships, you will find 4, all of which you can actually go on. There are several different class battleships that have been made into museums, all cool to see. Find one closest to you and check it out.
Thank you and I definitely will check them out.
Beautiful!!
Thanks Nick!
nice
Thank you, I definitely had fun clearing the pines with this loader.
@@tommylifeisgood6144 I'm getting a kubota SVL 75-3 next week
@@rayrayslawnlandscape2008 Sweet machine and I would love to own one.
That is an old machine, but good to see it doing the job perfectly !!!
I love the old iron. Thank you!
you need tracks bad but bucket works good
I have a set, but haven't installed yet. I agree, lots of spinning the tires. I'm definitely going to install soon so I can clean up brush piles down the hill. Thank you
Is it worth it to purchase a stump bucket?
The narrow stump bucket can dig deeper with more force compared to a regular bucket. I can remove small trees and bushes so easy without tearing up the ground. I also use it for trenching, laying gutter pipe, digging up large rocks, etc. It's a great tool to have in the tool box for sure. Thanks
Thank you for posting this. I'm trying to figure out how to replace the bearing. Do i have to replacr the axle?
No, just the bearing on the axle and race in the housing. I would get parts from East Coast Gear Supply, great pries and quality parts.
@@tommylifeisgood6144 Thank you kindly! Sorry for the late reply. I don't have access to a press so I ended up buying the Crown one that is completely assembled and keeping this axle as a spare.
Them little cubs sure are cute…..until momma sees you with them 😂
The bears were passing by the cabin in and out all day. We had a blast watching them.
@@tommylifeisgood6144 that is awesome stuff….there is no joy like watching nature in action. I love the bears 🐻, thank you for posting
I’m fixing to do this same kind of job
I hope the video helps you. Keeping digging to break roots all the way around the root ball. Good luck and take a video!!
@@tommylifeisgood6144 thank you….your video was an instant help.
So what's the problem
Add a loose feeling, I changed out the crappy Rubicon track bar with a monster Teraflex and it felt much better.
@@tommylifeisgood6144 ok great thank you I have to to the same thing to my 93 zj
Intoxicating to watch, nice enjoyable video
Thank you very much! I'm not good at editiing videos, I just enjoy working the skid loader and share my experiences.
That’s the noise my 2015 JKU makes only once when taking off from a complete stop??
Push the rear side of the jeep back and forth. You will feel this type of axle slack.
She is huge !
Thanks for sharing the video looks like you could use some traction
Thank you, I agree. I do have a set of traction metal tracks to install. Now, I'm afraid the extra traction might break a chain instead of wheel spin on this old loader.
I was on that 2 months ago!👍
That's awesome!
Did you by chance measure the play? I've got .015 on both my bearings after I had changed them.
I didn't measure the play, just significant noticeable. Once I changed the bearing, the play was eliminated.
Nice video. What brand of stump bucket is that?
Loflin bucket, I bought it about 22 years ago. All my buckets except one are Loflin, made in Denton, NC. Thanks
Wow talk about longevity I need me one, great video thanks for sharing
Thank you very much!
just ordered a Loflin bucket, just like that one-hoping to get the same kind of service you have gotten from yours--thanks nice video!@@tommylifeisgood6144
How’s your back after that rodeo ride?
It was a little bumpy, but normal for hard packed red dirt in a hurry. I need to slow down sometimes. Thanks!
Did it do this left to right or up and down or both ?
More in/out with a little up/down. I replaced the bearing, seal, and bearing holder from East Coast Supply. No slop at all after replacement parts. Thanks for watching and asking.
Most propane stoves have a air/fuel mixer. So why not on this set up?
I've read the air mixture will create a blueish flame less soot since it doesn't add oxygen. The yellow flame will be a tad sooty but more realistic for a campfire. I'm not an expert though. If the fire was indoors with a chimmy, it definitely needs an air mixture, since outdoors it doesn't.
I used 3/8" steel black pipe and fittings. Avoid galvanized, the fire might burn the zinc coating which is toxic. The brass fitting is 3/8" on both sides. One side is NPT or pipe thread and the other is flared. I bought everything at Lowe's, Tractor Supply also has the materials in the project.
