I fish this river all the time, and will definitely be fishing the Destination Nackawic tournament in May. I couldn’t compete last year because of a death in my the family, but this year it’s on.

The area (Hartland/Simons area) you were fishing used to be world class salmon pools.

The " hot spot" is my favorite place to fish. An easy safe spot for kids to fish. It sucks on the 1st of July when the fishing regulations changes to fly fishing and there is close sections along the upper St John river region.

Good advice on the outlet from a creek etc. That’s where I try to target if I don’t know the area. Maybe I’ve missed an episode, but have you ever fish Lake Ontario, near Toronto?
