Great video Rob 👍🏼 👍. I have court plenty of pike on the fly rod, up to 26lb 😁. I have been trying for over 8 years 😔, have had the followings but never hooked up. I saw a guy hook into one ( fishing from a belly-boat) , that fish . Took him for a joy ride 😁 , around the lk for almost an hour and a half.

Here I always thought that a muskie was the fish of 10,000 casts, and now I learn it's only 1,000 casts. Cool, I've only got about 900 casts to go, not 9,900. Keep funnin' guys. Keep the good stuff coming.

Aw, come on, you needed to get more than a nose tap for the slime. There is that smell to musky slime, you need to get it on you, inhale it, that smell and your visual memories take it to that next level.

I was listening to this episode while tying some dry flies. I thought the whole time that the host was Bill Spicer, it sounds just like him. Only looked at my computer at the end when Rob finally got the fish in the boat and was quite surprised. I guess the team has a particular voice in mind... lol kidding. Is Rob a new host?
Either way, way to go my friend!

What line type are you using?

    • @robertheal261

      Hi Jay,
We use mainly 450 grain, full sink lines when fishing sub surface, which was what we did 90% of the time. The depth varies and the retrieve is fast so the 350 to 500 gr sinking lines are prefered. The river was also abnormally high for that time of year and the big change precipitated the need for sinking lines.
