TY Dr Brown ! I’m building strong bones ! YES! In only 6 months I went from osteoporosis to osteopenia level in my DEXA scan , which meant I increased my bone density by 7 % ! How ? Absolutely NO bifosphonates , I’m not into that . I go to the gym , hired an osteo specialized PT and did the exercises he recommended ( machine strength training ) such as for example : linear leg press ( the main one ) , hip abduction , hip adductor , row machine , adding more weight as I became stronger . In addition I take about 12 supplements for bones , mainly the ones you recommend ( D, K , C , collagen , magnesium , red algae calcium ( = LITHOTHAMNE , which doesn’t cause constipation , rock calcium does ! ) , silicium , omegas , boron . Big question, though-- several years ago, my mother's back doctor told her that bones reach their maximum density and strength at the age of about 22 years old (25 or so in men) and that nothing we do after that has any effect at all. At the age of 58, my Dr a scan is -4.2 of my spine, and I’ve fractured two thoracic vertebrae, I’m scared of falling, or just fracturing again! I’m not on any medication and all doctors wanna do, is hand out prescriptions!😢

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. It turns out that I have Primary hyperparathyroidism. I am scheduled for surgery next week. The surgery should help my bone density. I do go to the gym at least 4 days per week and do strength training and the elliptical and stationary bike.

Can anyone give me advice before reviewing my recent dexa scan results with my Dr. My results supposedly show a 11% decrease in lumbar spine since prior scan. I have had a L5/S1 fusion, laminectomy, bilateral foraminotimy since last scan. Also xray one year after surgery showed a new finding of mild thoracic scoliosis. Surely these results can not be accurate? Rems in my area is not available yet but I am on a list to be notified when it comes to my state.

In the past 6 months I’ve had two compression fractures in my lower spine. When in constant pain how to affirm with positivity? I’m sorry to admit, but my Pain conquers the better part of me.

Yes, most doctors just put the fear of God in you to take nasty bone meds which mess up God's design fir bone building & breakdown. You can't mess w/what our Creator has created! Just like w/trying to change your sex...ain't gonna work no matter what you take away or add. XX & XY still in there!!
As for our bones, we need to work w/the natural mechanics to help our bones get stronger. I refuse to live life w/ a porcelain doll mentality!!

It has metastasized to the bones. Primarily spine, ribs, lesions on skull and tailbone area. I’m on a new chemo pill. Trying to learn more about supplements that help bones. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis. It turns out that I have Primary hyperparathyroidism. I am scheduled for surgery next week. The surgery should help my bone density. I do go to the gym at least 4 days per week and do strength training and the elliptical and stationary bike.

Can anyone give me advice before reviewing my recent dexa scan results with my Dr. My results supposedly show a 11% decrease in lumbar spine since prior scan. I have had a L5/S1 fusion, laminectomy, bilateral foraminotimy since last scan. Also xray one year after surgery showed a new finding of mild thoracic scoliosis. Surely these results can not be accurate? Rems in my area is not available yet but I am on a list to be notified when it comes to my state.
