DIY Long Sleeve Wrap Top (No Sewing Required!)

- 5 years ago I created a wrap top using nothing but a tank and a pair of scissors - who would have thought it would be the most popular post on the blog? Today we're sharing a much-requested update - a long sleeve version of this top!

Yeah a side note. If you are already a size large, not only do you need a larger size you need the shirt to be very long to go around your under chest area. I tried this and it did not work with an oversized top that wasn't long. It ended up being a crop top that ties from the front instead. I still like the look. I hope this helps. Note consider your chest size also, less fabric to go around😉

I know this is a no sew project, but for me I would have to have cleaner edges . You can take the piece you cut from the back and add it to the front for longer ties.

love this! you could also sew the extra fabric that was cut off to the "ties" to make it longer and tie around the front.

i did this with a gildan crew neck sweater and everyone in my ballet class loved it and thought i bought it
so my shirt wasn’t long enough so what i ended up doing was taking my piece that i had cut off, i cut that in two and sewed it the front panels so that they are ridiculously long, ik it’s supposed to be no sew but it still turned out super cute

Geneva, I would love to see you make this out of an oversized men's shirt so it wouldn't be cropped if possible. It could be a button- down or t-shirt. What a great idea.
That's such a great idea! I think it would be totally doable, although the stretch in this type of top does give it a nice fitted look, I think a men's shirt would be less fitted but that would be nice too!
My shirts basically refuse to tie around my waist😐
