Literally why does every other video make this top look SO CONFUSING and DIFFICULT?!? I even waited till I watched and made this top myself before commenting and wow it was so fast and simple ❤
I tried this and it worked! I did not want any midriff exposure and the remnant I was working with *was* too short for me, so I added a piece of patterned fabric to the bottom and it worked out great. Also made the ties in the patterned fabric, too. I think mine does give that kimono vibe with the two fabrics, but overall, I'm pretty pleased. The main fabric I used was a sage green linen and the add-on fabric was a scrap William Morris patterned cotton.and the draping is really terrific! Thanks!!! :-) Happy to have used up some of the fabric stash!
This looks sooo pretty! I wanted a wrap too but all the tutorials were so hard and this was a great alternative!!! Definitely want to try this in learning to sew in quarantine and you explained so well!!
Was looking for something to take on holiday in case i don't want constant sun on my shoulders, and this was *exactly* what i needed. 2 hours well spent, thanks!
OMG! ABC! and123! For ever I have searched for a bolero jacket. This is exactly what I need. I don’t even sew and think I can do this! Thanks so very much.
I have an old flannel sheet and I wanted to do something with it. I decided to make pajamas out of it. I got a pattern for the pants but wanted something easy to make the shirt. I think this is going to be perfect. :) I'm excited. I love how you gave instructions on how to measure it. That is super helpful. Thank you. :)
Thanks for this ❤️ it’s my first time making a clothing piece from scratch and it was really easy to follow. Btw, The top was really bunchy at the back so I added some back darts and heightened the armpit curve area to make it more form-fitting. 🧵
Just 3 inches short of fabric but it's a stretchy fabric so I hope I can make it work. This is the only tutorial I found that i think I can easily do in an afternoon and that's cute
Great video!! Thank you for sharing this. I bought some double gauze fabric and I was looking for an easy project to make. I think this would be perfect!
It's a great project! :) Did it in a few hours and so happy with how it looks like! It's also very flattering on a figure with big bust and defined waist, at least it looks very good on me. Thank you so much!
Hi ! I just finished sewing the sleeves and I have a question. I understand how to sew the ties but then when you wear the top how do you attach it? Is one ties going under the fabric? >
We got the same sewing machine! I was wondering what kind of hem/setting is the one in the inside that joins both rectangles? If that make sense? I’m new to sewing. Thanks
Thanks for the instructions. I really like the blouse, and am thinking of doing this as knitwear. Have you ever tried that? I also think the cut would look great in a soft, drapey fabric too.
Hi! How to follow the tutorial when you’re from the EU? We measure in cm and I already had before that dividing etc leeds to too big measurements... also calculating from inch to cm didnt lead to the right measurements. Can anybody help? :)
It wasn't easy for me. My length was 46 inches and I only had 42 inches to work with. I turned out to short and bulky in the top back. I'd like to see you turn around so I can see the back of the top! Im not giving up yet!

Can I not cut the fabric into 2 pcs and instead cut it up to the 13 inches mark? 🤔
Yes, I think that should work too! Let me know how it goes if you try it.
We got the same sewing machine! I was wondering what kind of hem/setting is the one in the inside that joins both rectangles? If that make sense? I’m new to sewing. Thanks

I haven’t tried that but I agree that I think it would work in both those fabrics! Let me know if you end up trying
Tq so much. I did this today! ❤
Hey! Which fabric are you using? Thanks
Is 1 yard will do?
Thank you so much !
Thank you for the lovely tutorial. Do the straps effectively stop a peek-a-boo if one were to increase the length of the top?
I love it.
Loved your top, had a question, how much fabric did you use?
can this be made in silk fabric?
Yes! It would give it a flowier look, but I think it would look really nice with silk fabric!

Email Boris! See if he can channel his inner European and play nice 😉 x
Hiii can i use stretchy fabric for this?:)
Hi! Depends on how stretchy....the structure of the wrap top most likely won't hold with fabric that is too stretchy
hi can I do this with poplin fabric?
I’m not an expert but I think it would work with poplin!
wow very nice🤗😍
This is nice but i dont understand if there is no description and the measurement statment
We need more videos!
Hermoso 💙
Would like to see a tutorial on a longer wrap top that one can wear with a jeans/ trousers may be. Thanks
Will consider for a future video! Thanks for your suggestion!

Tried it as my first thing to sew. The back looks weird 🥴
Could not 'simply' (she says as a novice make the tie the full length of the calculations ie 58 inches then place it 'off centre' 😉 🤔
looks so easy but mine looks weird 😭
let me know what the issue is and I will try my best to help!

Has anyone tried to make this with full length sleeves?
