True story. About 30 years ago I went to Taos w my dad and sisters. While riding the lift to the summit, a sign said Taos is 67% blacks. My dad explicitly told me to be careful. I broke a ski, a binding, a pair of goggles. Not one accident either. It was by far the fastest mountain I’d ever been on. I loved it.

When you put it out there in a positive way it comes back. Taos is a great mountain, one of the last places I skied before switching over to snowboarding (1985, I'm old) full time. Epic glades and they used to ski and paraglide off the mountain somewhere. Seeing this makes me want to go back and hits on Mike's comment about ROI you don't see. #freetacos

Taos is slept on and I didn’t realize the gift I was given when I snowboarded there in 2017. It’s beautiful and is a destination so it does not overcrowd easily

The terrain looks crazy. Having lived in Sedona 2 years and riding az snowbowl 2 years I wish I would have took a trip to Taos. I have been there in the summer but just to the town
I just missed you guys. I went to Santa Fe, up to Wolf Creek, and passed Taos to Santa Fe earlier this week. We'll be hitting Taos or Breck next year. Some good terrain at Taos.
Hey Casey, George is definitely the Taos legend and it is great that there is a run called FREE TACOS in his honor. There is a story behind Free Tacos that no one mentioned here. When George and a couple of other guys were campaigning to free Taos for snowboarding, they placed an order for about 750 bumper stickers with FREE TAOS written on them. But when the stickers arrived, there was a typo… they showed up with the words FREE TACOS instead. People went ahead and put them on their cars anyway. 😅 Occasionally those old bumper stickers still turn up in Taos.
Awesome edit. Looks sick!!! I don't know where you're at, but I would recommend circling up to southern Utah maybe after Lee Canyon, and hit up Eagle Point Resort. Place is LEGENDARY!!! Only open Friday-Sunday, absolutely incredible. Do yourself a favor. I'm heading out to Snowy Range, Jackson Hole, Red Lodge, and Beaver Mountain (One of my favorites). Maybe I'll run into you like I did at Jay Peak last year. Have Fun!!!
