How many transactions can be done on the S3 in standalone mode before it needs to pair with the phone?
Does the 5 time transaction limit apply for the 4G LTE version of the gear S3 Samsung pay when using without phone? Or is it only for the non LTE version?

I have a BT Gear S3 Frontier & Samsung S7 Edge. My Gear app does not show Samsung Pay under Settings so I am not able to have Samsung Pay on my watch at the moment. All software is updated as far as I can see. please help?
Think you for answering the one question I had. About wether damaging pay on the watch provides a virtual dummy number for retailers and also adding in it requires a pin to unlock the watch once is removed.
Interesting I don't see some options like Samsung pay within the Samsung gear manager app on my Nexus 6p phone. I wonder if other non-samsung phones have experienced this?

2019 and still Google Pay is not available on gear s3 in Germany. :(
Also remember that if you have aNON Samsung phone, Samsung Pay for the S3's has not been released yet in the US. I was told last night by Samsung that it would be arriving next week or possibly the week after that when they update the Gear Application.

I just can't get over the fact that you think this locking mechanism you put on your watch band is better than without it MADNESS :) but I'm loving your gear S3 videos
It's really about convenience. No sizing everytime you put your watch on. Also brands like ROLEX, TAG, CARTIER and others have this style of band. It typically gets associated with high end. Lets me dream I have a multi thousand dollar watch! LOL
One more reason for me not to buy Rolex, TAG... :)
This Samsung Gear S3 frontier is light years away from a apple watch! Go Samsung best in the business.
I purchase a Gear 3 Frontier with LTE (esim technology) from AT&T or TMobile, will it be compatible with the Verizon network (unlocked) when they support it in the future? Or is the e sim technology specific (locked) to each carrier?

Hi, one question. I can't find the answer to. Do you need to use just one pin on your watch for S-pay. One thing that is justifiably insane with the phone for S-pay. You have to do a retina scan, hit S-pay, select your card, then type in a pin. You could easily pull out your wallet and cc faster than the S-payne. I don't want to buy the watch only to find out that 2 phase security is needed.
Did you know whether Samsung Pay can be installed on latest Gear Manager on a Samsung phone which is outside US, say in UK or India? My phone is bought in India but I'm now in US; wondering if I'll be able to use Samsung Pay via the phone. Haven't bought the Gear yet.
I love the watch face. I ordered my s3 yesterday. Unfortunately there isn't samsung pay in New Zealand yet. The banks don't want to play along here.

Just a note... You must verify with your Bank or Credit Card Company from your Phone AND your Watch to use Samsung Pay on both your watch and phone. The watch you verify through samsung gear and find samsung pay in that app.
I have a similar question...with Samsung Pay setup on my Gear S3, can I then disable Samsung Pay on my Galaxy S7 phone? Or does Gear need to access anything from there?

Steve, I have the LG Urbane LTE 2. I like replica watch faces and that's what kept me away from this samsung. But now that I can do the same I switched. Google isn't competitive any more in the watch os. Word is that some will move to tizen. If you want to use it as a standalone device you can, you can make payments virtually anywhere, it looks like a real watch and has great battery life. Easy to use, etc. They got me

Rocky, use watchland on your phone to get the watch face you want, then download Gear Watch Designer to side load. That's how i do it a video will be posted this weekend. Just have a few videos I need to complete before I can publish that one.
I called the bank like it said to use Samsung pay but to use it on the watch it says call again? Do I have to call the bank again to use it on the watch or how can I transfer that to the watch?
I am really annoyed I bought to match up with my Samsung note and there is no way to get Google pay on. I would suggest the Huawei watch is the best option for Google pay

I wasn't aware that watch purchases count towards Samsung Pay Rewards as I haven't made any purchases yet since the update. good to know as I didn't think I would because previously it didn't count towards promotions. do you know if this still is true? I don't think they have any ongoing promotions that allow you to test this but I'm not sure either
All samsung promotions will count for purchases on the watch or phone. So if they have a domino's gift card for example that requires 3 purchases and you use your watch you're good to go. It counts
okay i have a s5 neo apparently I cant even download the Samsung pay so that means i cant get it to work on my watch so dsoes anybody know a work around
Is a phone required after you set up samsung pay on the S3? So i leave my phone at home, can I pay with JUST my watch.

+Gregg Perez works well. I do this every day. My most frequent use case is leaving the phone in the car running into the store to buy something. My wife is un the car at the time. She can call me and I can purchase disconnected

I put the S pay on my gear S3 and even on my wrist at all times it asked me for the pass code EVERY TIME and that got very annoying and cumbersome to use so I had to remove Samsung pay from my gear S3. This was on 4/2/17.. does your gear S3 ask you for the code any and every time you touch the watch?

blackant51 No I just stopped using it. If you turn off the lock you lose your card info and need to verify it all over again and it was a pain in the ass. I did see a update that may have fixed it but I have not tried again. let me know if it ends up working for you if you get it working.

why don't samsung set PIN entry for using only the samsung pay app? why for the whole watch? other apps should be accessible.

Jstreet Everytime you remove your watch and put it back on it'll lock in the case the watch is stolen or missing when Samsung Pay is set up.

ok , i think i need to check with Tmobile . i left the phone home to check and it keeps telling me to start the app on my phone , i was hoping i could use it without the phone as i didnt want to carry the note while on a run

I am testing that this week. I am behind on other reviews. Been playing too much with the watch! :>. But I would guess that you cant. Samsung security looks if your phone is rooted or not

Robert Ely it works flawlessly... although with hangout, you could only view messages can't reply. If you click reply, it'll ask you to open through your phone. But I'm loving this watch.
