I have to say the idea of a wet and forget is ideal but there is always a need for mechanical cleaning. I attacked a older house with a big problem with deck, siding, windows, stone walkway and I started pressure washing but it took forever to clean. Looked great but you could see some build-up spots where pressure washer could not be used and a brush was. I went to a Local hardware store and the worker there warned me of the products that were fast and powerful but the risks involved. Showed me wet and forget. Hint he gave me was use Wet and Forget and then 4 weeks later hit it with pressure washer if needed. What I learned was the moss, and mold and others die after exposure then coming back with a garden hose knocked them free. I could see the difference. I have only come back to reapply early spring every other year. I did 5 other houses on the street, just wet and forget come back 4 weeks later with a garden hose. Bleach and Dawn was great but had discoloring issues. Lots of siding and trim start chalking and paint starting to become thin. Wet and Forget does not do that.
You’ve got a good point that in some cases it really doesn’t take the case of a pressure washer, I still use mind regularly, but I’ve been pretty surprised though that the pace moss or mildew has regrown on the areas I treated last year has seemed a lot slower. It’s just one more tool in the box, thanks for watching!!
Thank you for the honest review of Wet and Forget, I used it a couple of years ago. I bought a two pack from Costco and I didn’t realize that it could take months to get the full results. I used it to clean my composite deck and railings but I was trying to get the deck cleaned up for that weekend in June! It did seem like the deck looked better by the fall but I don’t think it’s was worth the time and expense, I just use deck cleaner and a hose now! I love your rock walls by the way. Slainte, DC🍀
Thanks for watching! I'm pretty happy with how the Wet and Forget works since I kicked of spring cleaning on a warm February day, lol! But you're definitely right, its quick to use, but the results take time! Thanks for checking out the walls too, that starts back up in a couple weeks now that it's not below freezing over night!
I’ve used this with great results. I would recommend that you use prior to seeing mildew or algae. I live in a very small one story and used a brush with soap to clean up the north facing wall. After that I sprayed the entire house with the Wet and Forget. I’ve been pleased with the results. My lazy neighbor serves as a control in this experiment. His North facing wall looks like Jumanji so I know the product is working.

@@DarrellTurnerJr I still have a gallon I’ll give it a shot! Thanks
I have tried it I had to spray a few days in a row but eventually it came clean
Good to know, I waited and let the rain do the work, but maybe some spots are more stubborn than others! Thanks for watching!
