you can do the same by remapping with scales or... using multiple pitch shifters in separated racks at mix 50%. Try that, you will get instantly high. Kind of pseudo-MPE thing.
Nice overview, I also greatly appreciated your reaction and explanation of the opaque and confusing pricing, which I found offputting also. I'll wait for it to be on sale, all these $200 synth softwares I think are making a mistake, I think that they would make much more money selling them for much less, because they would sell so many more copies.
This is kind of like the Bitwig grid but with a much more limited, cumbersome, convoluted, difficult and slow user interface. Phase Plant does have one benefit of some nice builtin FX, but they're limited to the lanes so it's not truly modular or better than Poly Grid post-FX.
Hey thanks for the thoughts! Been considering this since it's on sale... still not sure because I think between Bitwig and VCV Rack I can cover most of what this thing does... but it is a nice interface, and new is always fun for a while anyway. Anyhow just found your channel not long ago and you've been popping up in the algorithm with some awfully useful content, so subscription well earned!
@@Overxpossed Bold statement :) What about UVI Falcon, the VCV rack VST, Cherry Modular or Reason (now as a VST) ? All those including Phaseplant do cool stuff. I am not a fan of one to rule them all ...
This channel should have more subscribers, and now it has one more.
FYI You can use an LFO as an arpeggiator. Use one to modulate the global pitch and in the LFO library you will find several arpeggiator presets.

Nice overview, I just got the kh monthly sub and have been looking for tutorials on this awesome synth. I'm also a bitwig user so a new sub here.
This video helped me to firmly make the decision to wait until Phase Plant goes on sale again. Thank you sir.

Have to watch this video... Already watched one of this dude, and was freaking cool.
Thanks ! Valuable content as always.

Hi, you just need to buy Phase Plant and a portal to another dimention will be opened. no other synth is capable of what PP2 is.
Between Bitwig and VCV Rack, Phase Plant is still worth it.

@@KetilJensen what about kontakt then.

I like phase in my paggages
one of the best synth plugins out there. check out Dash Glitch's tutorials on it, he takes it to a different level.
So for grid users, especially after 5.0 update - i dont think its worth buying .. right ?
it has an arpeggiator, its not immediate
