I’m amazed at how many campgrounds in the San Juan National Forest are 28-day. Haven’t seen that anywhere else.

Getting expensive
Hello, a group of friends and I are looking to camp in this area of CO but were nervous about first come first serve as we are driving in from Minnesota. What are the chances a site is available around mid August? Are these camp grounds usually pretty booked around then? Thanks! great videos!
Depends on what day of the week you plan to arrive. If you show up by Thursday afternoon, chances are better. Friday or Saturday are more crowded but still a chance in the 2nd half of August
