    I've got the 2016 residential model and I love it. It looks like the 2017 stripes better, but it could have been the grass laying down better because it was wet. We will have to see when your lawn dries up, may make me want a new mower!

    My 2017 Timemaster was in the shop only after it's 3rd mow.The cylinder head had to be replaced. Im disappointed in the quality since I paid a grand for it. I agree with your assessment of it, I'm always going to wonder if it's going to start every time I mow.

      I used to have a Troy Bilt 33 which I believe is pretty much just like the cub cadet. I did like it as well but the self propel system on my toro is what really sold me on it. Very easy to use and you don't have to muscle the machine around at all.

    Awesome video man! I'm in the market and this one is leading the pack now. 2 questions: is there a noticeable difference between the 190cc and the 223cc? I have found a few used ones and if I can save $400 on craigslist, I will. And on one side my backyard has a pretty steep hill I have to cut. Any reason why this mower wouldn't be the right tool for that job?

    • @ryanknorrlawncare
      @ryanknorrlawncare  7 років тому

      Hello! So far you can tell it's a stronger motor but by how much??? Well, it's hard to say. I honestly never had much of an issue with my old one (190cc) other than I couldn't really mulch thick grass with it. I still am not sure if that is more of a deck design issue though than a motor issue. So if you can get a good used one I wouldn't rule that out. As for hills I have a pretty steep one in the back of my yard. It's not too bad but I will say the older one had a little more bit more of an advantage here as well because it was lighter. The new one is a little bit heavier. Still, either one still works on the hill but you do have to muscle it a little more than a typical small push mower. Hope that helps and good luck!

    Love the channel. Keep it up. I just picked up the 2017 Timemaster 30. How do the letters relate to the height of cut? Looks like G is the highest at 4.25 and A is the lowest at 1.25 My guess is A= 1.25 B=1.75 C=2.25 D=2.75 E=3.25 F=3.75 G=4.25 What level do you cut at in the middle of Summer? I also ordered the Hardline Hour/Tach meter that you had. Is it just simply wrapping it around the spark plug wire and taping off with electrical tape? Thanks .

    • @ryanknorrlawncare
      @ryanknorrlawncare  7 років тому

      Yep you're exactly right on those letters and the cut heights you mentioned. I'm cutting on C or 3.25" - Yes it's just wrapping it around the spark plug wire and they actually give you a zip tie so you can tighten it to the wire itself.

    I'm pretty sure these mowers only use about 60-70% of the available power and that you can adjust some things to get a lot more power out of it. I would go with high lift blades too. I'm prob going to be getting one of these soon. Did you get yours from homedepot? Was thinking of getting it there becaus of the no hastle return etc...

    • @ryanknorrlawncare
      @ryanknorrlawncare  7 років тому

      I just bought a tach for it so I'll be able to see what rpm the motor is running here very soon. It comes with high lift blades and they seem to work fine. I got mine from a local dealer.

    Additionally, would you recommend this mower.

    • @ryanknorrlawncare
      @ryanknorrlawncare  7 років тому

      My old one could cut through wet tall grass fine as long as was side discharging. This one feels a little stronger motor wise so I think it would be ok but I haven't tried it personally. I'd recommend it if you are looking for something around that price point.

    • @ryanknorrlawncare
      @ryanknorrlawncare  7 років тому

      Sounds like maybe snow mold but I can't say for sure. Definitely see if you can remove the leaves without causing too much damage and then might have to put some seed down.

    • @KenyonPayne
      @KenyonPayne 7 років тому

      ryanknorr well I ended up ripping up most of my grass trying to rake up the leaves and maple tree seeds, I think leaving my grass so long and getting the big snowfalls made the grass get so compacted, I'll just buy seed and start over i guess
