The GenuTrain S active support with lateral joint splints supports the knee joint for indications of slight instability, arthritis or osteoarthritis of the knee. An integral, ring-shaped pressure cushion (pad) surrounds the kneecap, while the interplay of the knit and the pad provides intermittent compression massage, thereby activating the musculature and stimulating the healing process. The combination of joint bars and a strap system in the GenuTrain S provides added passive support for the knee.

So this brace does not have any metal parts? Unlike many other brands with metal hinge?
So it should be Airport metal detector safe?

Hi Mike, the side bars are non-metal but the hinge does contain tiny metal parts as part of its structure. Best advice is to inform Security Officer before entering the door scanner in case you have to have the brace on to assist you in walking.

The splints hurt mij leg when I am wearing the brace for a while

Hi Marco, thanks for your feedback! The splints are mouldable with heat to make adjustment to avoid area that might cause discomfort to some users. You may refer to the user manual come with the product in the box for instruction on moulding or speak to the authorised seller from whom you bought the product for recommendation.
