If I have to get frozen I buy the LA Favorita black bean and chile burrito (their only vegan option). If you can find them they are cheaper and much better than other frozen burritos I have had. (Typically available at regular grocery stores like Walmart, Safeway, King Soopers (Kroger), etc...)
Why would anyone watch a taste test video and not want to hear an honest opinion? Why would they not expect to hear chewing if you're tasting? You all just keep being the honest little vegan train you are and chew, chew! Ya'll are great, some people must just need to complain. Keep up the great vids that help me know what to expect when I spend my vegan dollars! Sorry so long but Puhleezze people!
Frozen Burritos are very convenient especially when you’ve had a long day and don’t feel like cooking. Also convenient for a quick lunch idea when you’re at work!
I love the way you approach these taste tests/reviews. Seems very honest. Never feels mean. Vegans have just as much right as non-vegan to want quality! Also, I bet it would be good to heat up the burritos a bit then finish them in a panini press!
I understand completely about being picky with temperatures of certain foods, and I too am a visual eater, so I appreciate Andrew's honesty with if something doesn't taste good or even smell bad, because I can't eat certain foods if it smells bad. I love your taste test videos!
Where I live, frozen burritos are just not a thing. Moreover, premade burritos (in general) are not either. This was very interesting to watch for me since I had no idea what you could expect from these! Plus, honestly, your videos are simply the best so no matter what we're talking about I am happy to follow along :D . Anyways, thanks for another 50 minutes of me smiling an laughing! Stay safe and have a great rest of the week!
I love these videos. I never eat any of this type of food as I follow a super clean vegan whole food plant exclusive diet. The videos are are super entertaining! Your personalities are delightful!
I generally hate frozen burritos, but I really enjoy the Alpha ones. They're 2.98 at the Walmart I shop at. Glad to see you guys review the Amy's ones...I want to try those next.
Absolutely love alpha Philly. Ate many during my transition and yes its way too much wrap to filling but the flavors are amazing. I was going to invest in Cool Beans and kinda glad I didn't. Haha. Thanks guys. ❤️
i've only tried the 365 bean burrito from this whole video and for the price it was good! like super cheap and shockingly filling butttt i really wanna try those falafel street wraps now! those seem to be pricer so i'm glad they taste good despite the lemon! excited for the next breakfast video :)
Amy’s organics Indian inspired burritos are so delicious! They’re also really easy to make yourself and very inexpensive when you do compared to buying the ready-made ones. I make a big batch of these and a bean and cheese one to freeze and use for lazy dinners and lunches.
Thanks for doing this. I was just looking at Amy's burritos the other day but was afraid to try any of them. So I greatly appreciate you guys reviewing them! Looking forward to the frozen breakfast review!😍
They chewing don't bother me it's a natural thing 😳 people are weird to be annoyed! Another great taste test I make my own but I do enjoy Alpha burrito every now and then
Yay! I was just thinking the other day how I hope you guys do burritos soon. I'm glad you guys do HONEST reviews. I can't believe people think you shouldn't "talk negative" as if just bc you are vegan you are supposed to not have an opinion..smh.
Interesting i wonder what's wrong with me I find the big sur to be inedible ? The picture on the outside is highly misleading because in reality it's just homogenized orange mush and it tastes way too much of paprika/cayenne like that's all I taste? But I do love a lot of sweet earths other vegan products their butter chick'n bowl mainly and curry tiger, Mongolian beefless, r pretty good but yeah Nestle 😒😔
@@emiliaa8132 Nothing is wrong with you…we all just have different taste preferences. You mentioned the curry tiger bowl…not a fan of that one. Either way, the Nestle thing is a bummer. ☹️
Until I went vegan , i lived on the el monterey bean and cheese burritos. I always put them on a plate with green salsa, cheese, sour cream and bacon bits. I do the same with vegan burritos now ( just veganized of course) the amy’s and the daiya are the only ones we have locally xo Davita
I have actually only had the Alpha ones out of this selection, but I LOVE them. I will definitely try the others now! I also love the Tofurkey ones, but I guess they're more like pockets? And...I make mine in the toaster oven and always cut them in half when I turn them in the middle and bake them for, like, a quarter more time than recommended.
Even though I would never buy frozen burritos I still enjoyed the video. ;o) I just have this thing about premade things being stuffed like burritos, apple pie, pot pies etc..... I just feel like I never really know what's in them. lol Burritos are so easy to make so I prefer to make them myself so I know exactly what is in them. Make sense? I have weird food issues. lol ;oP
I love your videos and the your taste test are the best. It really helps when shopping for products. I know everyone have their own opinions about taste, but you two have never took me down the wrong road in the grocery store. Can you do a Vegan Bacon taste test in the future? Thanks and have a blessed week.
The TaDah one is more expensive because it is significantly larger than the others. 2-2.5 oz bigger. It is considered an entree and is biggest in the category! Just some insight as to why the cost is more. Not saying I work there butt.............. :) Loved the reviews.
So much cheaper to make the burritos at home versus buying the frozen you can make them in large batches at home and freeze them yourself and put your own veggies and beans and rice in them
I was about to comment and ask how many mushrooms were unknowingly consumed in this video and then you mentioned them. 🤣 I have an alpha wrap in the freezer I’ve been scared to try, maybe I’ll give it a try today.
To your “the burritos are cold when you microwave them the first time ” comment. That is why I leave it in the package and do just the minutes it says to cook at (2 minutes and not the 30 seconds) when I’m in a rush. It steams, so the entire thing is heated. Yes I know you shouldn’t cook it in the wrapper. Normally I put it in the toaster oven so that it gets nice and crunchy on the outside.
Due to philly cheese often being processed fake cheese it’s not necessarily the most important flavor. The salty artificial cheesy taste in a cheese sauce is easy to replicate especially with the addition of peppers and spices. It becomes just as much about texture and the taste of those ingredients and less about “actual” cheese. As far as the brands go, Alpha probably is best with Mexicali, only sometimes those have oil that will get seriously hot if you nuke it too much and they are super skimpy. They also make little pastry things that are pretty bomb but a little high in calories and everything they make is a little skimpy. Amy’s all do taste better in the less traditional wraps rather than burritos (including breakfast varieties which are good with tomato or ketchup) but if you think they’re a little bland, a touch of vegan sour cream will help, or hot sauce or salsa or whatever you like. Some of the very dry and bland vegan foods (such as sweet earth) often just need a little kick, even just a bit of salt. Amy’s gluten free I actually like a lot better than the regular which can be dry, thick and floury. Honestly for cheap fast and easy meals they are totally an easy ‘go to’. If you get used to eating them and feeling a bit better than you might not be interested in eating their more gross competition and you might end up switching. I think super easy microwave foods are a good way to test the waters on becoming vegetarian or vegan or just being a little healthier. Especially if you’re not a chef and you don’t have alot of time. They have better ingredients that are better for your body and have a more varied and complex flavor with alot more available variety. In terms of why constructive criticism on vegan products promotes veganism. You want people to actually feel vegan products are worth their money and taste good etc, so promoting the best of them keeps from turning people off. Promoting what they can do better is important to winning hearts and minds through bellies and wallets. Improve products enough and even the more reluctant retailers and customers might jump on board and due to the ever deteriorating quality of many major non vegan brands there is no better time to make inroads with products that beat some very weak competition. If you find something gross about the non vegan burrito your eating, try one of these.
Thank you for the reminder we could make our own burritos. Followong your recommendation I just froze a batch of individually wrapped homemade-is-always-better burritos with rice and beans.
The Whole Foods one is my favorite. I honestly buy the whole box when I go. Keep them in the freezer for easy work lunches. The Alpha ones use to be different when they first came out but I don’t know if they reformulated or something but I can’t stomach them at all. The last time I ate one (Alpha Philly) there was a huge mushroom piece that was so slimy I literally gagged. Haven’t been able to even look at them again lol. I do wanna try their breakfast ones but I can’t find them anywhere.
This is the video I didn’t know I needed in my life. I always go to Amy’s (Vietnamese and Indian are my favs), and worried about trying others and wasting my money. Have you done frozen entree dishes?
How come your burritos come out so good looking? I only get that sometimes, even though I strictly follow the instructions. Like, after following the instructions, I end up with the filling leaking out in one or even two places on the burrito when I open the microwave. The reason I ask is my Amy's Samosa Wrap (something like that) broke. ... and the Daiya burritos are terrible! Like, their burritos felt like they stuck to my teeth! ... Before I forget, I enjoy your videos! And thanks for saying (a while back) that Daiya really did improve their cheese -- you were right!
I was really looking forward to alpha foods burritos but I decided to wait for reviews. I might get one just to see for myself. The falafel sounds really good, where did you guys get it from.
When you are conscious about how you are chewing, you automatically chew longer and appear in a way that makes you not look like you are in a hurry. Your swallowing is not gulped.
I've never had burritos. What is the difference betwen a burrito and a wrap? I have seen an Amy's burrito in my local supermarket but haven't had the desire to try it.
I've tried the Alpha brands and they are all good, however I totally agree the filling wasn't enough. I don't get them often because the price is a little high for the too much wrap. I'm not a huge fan of Any's burritos'

That's definitely a much bigger sacrifice since mushrooms taste like rotten, slippery dirt. 😁
7:50 I mean, can this wrap even be called a burrito? ;P Probably why it was not called burrito byt Amy's I guess :D This video is more of a frozen wrap taste test and I am not complaining since it would get real boring with rice and beans only!
Do you have a favorite vegan frozen burrito?
Amy's is normally our favorite

Amys gluten free bean and rice!! I get them on sale for 2.29 which is a killer price
Sweet Earth
I love Amy's gluten free because the wrap is rice-based and stretchy and not dry. I wish they sold the gluten free wraps separately.
I so look forward to you guys every Thursday morning. I'm not even vegan but I buy things you guys recommend.

Amy is the daughter of the owners of Amy’s. I love to put frozen burritos in my air fryer! Taste like crunchwraps!
Ohhh thanks :) And great idea
Yes gonna try in my airfryer!
I usually toast mine lightly in a skillet after microwaving but I’m going to try this instead!
both of you eat politely, i’ve never noticed eating sounds and usually i would
“You gotta make that sound ?”😂😂 love y’all
The way Andrew said NO to the TaDah price, lmao. I felt that in my soul hahahaha.
Is it bad that I would buy it?‽ if it tastes as good as they said why not sacrifice a few bucks every now and then.
I understand completely about being picky with temperatures of certain foods, and I too am a visual eater, so I appreciate Andrew's honesty with if something doesn't taste good or even smell bad, because I can't eat certain foods if it smells bad. I love your taste test videos!
Andrew’s “extra” faces give me life 😂
Yes! I've been wondering about these burritos. Thank you for sharing your thoughts 🥰💖🥰
Hope you find some you love!

Amy’s has a breakfast tofu scramble burrito that is also gluten free and it is delicious!!!!!
Yes! I love that one.
Yesss Amy’s vegan burritos are the best!
Love Amy's so much!!! 😍

Samosas are typically vegan which might be why they don't say vegan.
The Sweet Earth Big Sur burrito is my absolute fave. So yummy! It’s a breakfast burrito, but I sometimes have it for lunch or dinner.
Heads up in case you didn’t know and if it’s something you want to avoid: Sweet Earth is owned by Nestle.
