@@mauricerahme8544 AP deals more dmg since most of his skills scale with AP, but AP items don't provide much bonus health and the armor from his ulti scales with AD. Therefore a build balance of both AP/AD would be ideal, here is how I build him: Start with ruby crystal and rush defense boots according to enemy team and/or your oppoment laner main dmg type, consider the dmg type of their jungle and mid also. For example if you lane against a Darius, their jungler is Gwen and their midlaner is also an AP champion then rush your big item first, build boots later (in this situation building mercury treads may be a better choice). 1st item TF/DS: Item with Sheen compoment is mandatory on Jax, TF for snowballing and/or enemy don't have many tanks. DS for sustain, tankiness and provide good dmg against tanks (I mostly build DS since I play top) 2nd item Riftmaker/Sunderer Sky/Black Cleaver: Riftmaker is generally good and I mostly build this, Black Cleaver if enemy team have tanks that stack armor (you may still need to build Riftmaker to kill them in later stage of the game), Sunderer Sky for good stats, cheap price, sustain and help you snowball better. 3rd item: start to consider building defense items like Frozen Heart, Amarath Twinguard or if you need more dmg then another bruiser items (black cleaver, sunderer sky, shojin) or Psychic Projector. Now Psychic Projector is another really good AP item on Jax since it provides good amount of bonus health, a mini shield to help you against poke, and more AP for more burst/sustain dmg. If you play Jax top then 2 AP items is enough, don't go full AP or else you will be too squishy. 4th and 5th slot should be defense item: death's dance, wit's end, amarath twinguard, etc
